In the morning, we can work it out
Work it out~~~
Sydney
Coffee date?Sydney felt guilty, there was no denying it. It hadn't even been twenty-four hours since the discussion she'd had with Ashton, yet she had already given in. The silent treatment she had been receiving made her feel worse than she thought it would, and she would rather Ashton spoke to her than block her out. She could ensure he was safe if he willingly spent time with her.
That's why she had guiltily asked him out on a coffee date. Sydney knew Ashton couldn't decline the bitter drink, and it was something they would normally do together. After Sydney finished her hours at Bello's, Ashton would often drive around to offer the girl a ride to the studio if they were scheduled to go in and write that day, or to simply offer his company. Casey and Marcus Bello were kind enough to allow the pair to stay after hours as long as Casey cleaned and locked up.
That's why Sydney was certain of the answer she was going to receive.

Mkay
I finish at 5~~~
When the clock hit five, Casey and Marcus Bello had already left for the day, telling Sydney that she could stay for as long as she wanted as long as she locked up for them. Sydney knew the drill — they had done it many a time before — yet the couple still insisted on reminding her every time.
Sydney set to work on clearing the tables and wiping down the counters in hopes that she would finish before Ashton arrived. She left the equipment she would need for making coffee on, knowing that she would be using it when Ashton decided to show up.
At quarter past, the ringing of the door's bell alerted Sydney of her best friend's presence. She turned around, grinning at the honey blonde man. He smiled back in return, moving to take a seat in one of the sofa chairs that were lower to the ground, next to the window — their usual spot.
"The usual?" Sydney asked from behind the coffee shop's counter.
Ashton nodded, and the woman set to work on making the two drinks. A regular iced coffee was made for Ashton, who, as Sydney reminds him every time she gives him his drink, is a basic bitch. Meanwhile, a caramel iced latte was being made for Sydney.
Sydney set the two drinks down on the low wooden table, before sitting down herself next to the man.
Ashton crinkled his nose in disgust at Sydney's drink (as he did every time they met at the coffee shop). "That is so fucking disgusting." He muttered. "There is way too much sugar in that."
"And you're a basic white girl," Sydney replied, "but I don't bring it up every time I make your drink."
Ashton laughed. "You kinda do. Like, every single time we drink here."
"Only because you offend my drink first!"
"I offend your drink?" Ashton retorted, before bending down so that he was level with the caffeinated drink on the table. "Shit, sorry Mr Latte. I didn't mean to offend you."
