From the soft blue glow of his staff, Loki could see a strange, vertically challenged, teenage girl. She was warring a Loki jacket and carrying a small backpack. Her black poffy hair covered half of her face and her trailed a little past her shoulders. But most of all he noticed her eye(the other one was covered up by her hair). It was the brightest blue he had ever seen and very easy to get lost in.

But there was something weird about the girl,Loki could tell that she was hiding something.Being the God of trickery he could easily tell when someone was lying or using any form of magic. And she seemed to be doing both at once.

"Is there something wrong?"she said nervously.Loki suddenly realized that he was starring."Ummm...no not at all."he said awkwardly getting up and brushing himself off.

"I'm sorry, she thinks its funny to scare the shit out of people who are lost." she rolled her eyes."Oh by the way I'm Skullora and you've obviously already meet my lizard with an attitude problem,Firestar."

"And there's no need to introduce yourself.I already know who you are or at least who I think you are.I-" "You know who I am?"Loki interrupted.

"Yeah as I was about to say,I am a Marvel geek. The Avengers are my favorite but-" "Your a fan of the Avengers?"he asked squeamishly. He thought if she was a huge fan as she claimed to be then she would want nothing to do with him.

"Yes!But again you didn't let me finish.Sure I love the Avengers they have Iron man and Captain America. There my favorite heroes of all time (besides Deadpool,I don't think he counts because he's a mercenary). Anyway,in this cause I like the villain a lot more than the heroes." Skullora finished as she began to blush.

He smiled,"Oh,I see."Loki said feeling a load of pressure taken off of his mind and to be honest he was kind of shocked.he thought that everyone hated him with a passion after what he had done, but apparently he was wrong.

"I feel like I'm talking way too much, so enough about me,how about you? What is Loki doing in the middle of Mirkwood at this time of night?"she asked anxiously."Tis not important," he replied half-heartedly,"but I should ask the same to you."

"Oh we where just going back home after visiting my friend in Rivendell. I thought it would be nice to take the scenic root."she said with a smile that did not reach her eye.

Loki smiled wickedly, knowing that she had just lied."This seems like such a wonderful place, I see why you enjoy it."he said sarcastically.

"Actually I think it is sort of nice."she said picking up on the sarcasm."This place may be a little sick but I think there is just as much beauty in darkness as there is in light."

"Never mind what I think though,Im sort of a nobody,I guess my voice just isn't meant to be heard."Skullora sighed,"I can see that your lost,if you want I can help you find your way out of here."

"I am not at all lost!I am exactly where I intend to be!But I shale accept your offer."Loki proudly stated,he was too ashamed to admit it but he was lost and had no idea where to go."At least this is better than being chased by five annoying mortals and my ignorant brother."he thought to himself.

"I would say that we could start now but it's too dark and Friestar and I have been traveling all day.She really needs some rest."she said looking over at the dragon who was already asleep.

"I suppose that would be nice."said Loki who was exhausted as well. "That settles it then, see you in the morning!" Skullora said with a rather fake yawn.

"Nice horns by the way!"Loki called after her as she laid down beside Firestar."Right back at you!"she laughed.

As she laughed Loki felt a seance of warmth. He tried to stop a smile from spreading across his face but had little success. For a split second he felt happiness but he tried to forced it out of his mind.

"What is wrong with you!"he thought, "She is a peasant, nothing more, let that be as far as your mind wanders."

But he couldn't seem to stop thinking about the strange girl. And no matter how many times he reminded him self that she was"just a peasant" it made no difference.

Slowly he drifted off to sleep hoping he would have a better day tomorrow.
