Chapter 18

Skullora was getting anxious,they had stayed in the same place for way too long and Loki showed no signs of caring.She was terrified that the Avengers would catch up again.
If it was her by herself she could have already vanished and they would never been able to find her(that is unless she wished them to).But with a very uncooperative Loki this feat will be a little harder to pull off.Last time they were lucky and caught the team off guard,but that was most likely never going to happen again.
She tried to wiggle her way out of his tight grasp,but found it impossible.
Loki may not be exactly what you would consider fit but he does have the strength of an average Asgardian, which outweighs that of a juvenal dragon.
"Dammit Loki,we need to get the hell out of here!"she cried."Five more minutes!"He said with a groan similar to one a teenager makes when they are forced to get out of bed on a school day.
He began kissing her neck longingly, causing her to purr.Skullors almost melted in his arms and smiled,purely out of pleasure.It was obvious that Loki was just stalling her,the last thing he wanted to do is let go of his queen.
Suddenly Skullora looked up to a dragon shaped siluet that passed over the sun,casting a shadow over them for a split second.She then gazed off into the distance to see what looked like a giant dog bounding forward in their direction.The rider of the dog had a large hammer raised high above their head and a long,red flowing cape danced in the wind behind them. Skullora immediately recognized the warg Moon,and its rider,Fox.
She let off a long drawn out sigh before facepalming,"I am such a bad person,how could I have forgotten my best friend!"she muttered under her breath."I'm sorry love,I didn't quite catch that."Loki said as he came up for air,by now he had created a red spot on her neck.
When he seen the hammer and the cape he immediately thought of his brother.Before Skullora could explain, he stood up with her in his arms and began running in the opposite direction.
"Loki what the hell are you doing?" Skullora shouted.He did not answer, he was too busy trying to think of a way to get as far away from(who he thought was)Thor.
Moon easily caught up with Loki,but he was still running as hard as he possibly could.Fox grabbed Moon's collar and did her best to stand up.Then without warning she jumped, knocking Loki and Skullora to the ground,they all three rolled off in separate directions.
Fox sprang to her feet and slowly walked over to Loki,who still was not sure what was going on.She slowly drew back her hammer.Before she could hit Loki,Skullora grabbed her arm."Put the hammer down!"she cried.
Fox turned around and yelled,"You want me to put the hammer down!?!?"
Skullora kicked off her high heels and crouched into a battle stance,her staff appeared in her hands with a flash of purple light."You look to be in a gaming mood,so advance forward in my direction brother!"she teased.
Fox began to swing her hammer, creating a rush of wind that made her cape flow."Bringth it on!"
Loki seen what was happening and put himself between Skullora and the challenger."If you want her then you will have to face me!"he hissed.
Fox lowered her hammer and took a few steps back."Whoa...dude calm down,haven't you ever heard of fake fighting...I wouldn't actually hit my best friend."
Loki turned to face Skullora with a confused expression before realizing this wasn't Thor.She smiled and walked over to Fox,putting her arm around the elf's shoulder."Loki...Meet Fox,or as I call her Thunderhead. Thunderhead...meet-" "Wait a minute Frosty,is this some random Cosplay guy or the real deal?"Fox inquired.
Loki's mouth fell open,he seemed to be very insulted."The real deal!? How dare you insult me mortal swine!For there is only one Loki,and it tis I!"he shouted.Fox looked over at Skullora, who was leaning on her shoulder,she replied by rolling her eyes."I am not mortal...Im an elf!See I have the ears."Fox laughed as she pointed to her ears.
Loki crossed his arms."Hmph,I do not care what you are...you could be a troll for all I am concerned!What matters is the fact that you obviously do not believe me!"Fox rolled her eyes and focused her attention on Skullora.
She had now gotten a good look at her friend's new dress and headband,it looked even more natural on her than her normal costume,which was strange."This guy really likes to stay in character doesn't he...and why are you warring a different costume?You do not really look like Lady Loki,if that was what you were trying to accomplish.It just looks like a normal Loki costume...but you know...more dressish.It's still pretty badass though."she said with a smile.
Skullora laughed as she watched Loki pace back and forth,ranting about how there could only be one Loki,and no one could even come close to matching his abilities.
"I know right!I would have told you if I knew all of this was going to happen. Hell,I would have came to Rivendale and kidnapped you...In fact if anyone asks, that is exactly what happened. We won't use the word 'kidnapped' though,the term 'adopted by surprise' sounds much better."
"So you found this guy just wondering around Mirkwood and decided to let him tag along?Tis not the best idea you have had!I know we have talked about this before, you can not trust just any weirdo in a Loki costume, especially if you found him in Mirkwood!Do you even know his real name?!?"
Skullora smirked and withdrew her arm."He was lost and wondering around aimlessly!What was I suppose to do,just look how adorable he is. Besides...this isn't some random weirdo in a Loki costume,I thought you would know that!"
"Well what is that suppose to-" "FOX! YOLO."Skullora interrupted.
Fox's eyes widened,"YOLO?"she said over excitedly."YOLO."Skullora replied in as calmly as possible.
Fox let off a high pitched squeal which made Loki stop ranting.He watched awkwardly as Fox took Skullora's arms and began jumping up and down.
When she seen her friend standing still she stopped,cocking her head to the side."Why aren't you jumping?I always thought if this happened I would have to be your translator for a few days because you would be so happy that you couldn't speak.Now you don't seem that exited..."
Skullora gave Loki a loving glance,as her eyes lit up."Oh believe me I am! I've just had plenty of time to get to know him."she purred as she winked at Loki,making him blush.
Fox gasped and grabbed Skullora by her left arm,dragging her to the side. "We need to talk now!"she said.
"What the hell is going on here?"she asked as soon as they were out of Loki's earshot.Skullora shrugged her shoulders,as if it were nothing.
She just so happened to catch a glimpse of the red spot on her friends neck,and narrowed her eyes."Is that a hickey?" "Maybe...what does it matter?"Skullora snickered.
Fox also noticed that she was hiding her right hand behind her back.Now it was apparent that her friend was hiding something big,and she had to know what.
So Fox acted like she was going to give Skullora a hug,but instead she grabbed her hand and pulled her arm around in front of her.By this time Skullora would have already had Fox on the ground for trying to hug her (as you may remember,she isn't a big fan of physical contact)This time the most she did was try to pull away.
On her right hand was the ring Loki had given her earlier.
Fox smiled in a very fangirlish way."Is this what I think it is?" "Maybe..."Skullora replied as her face turned crimson red.
"Why did you not just tell me?This ship,I like it,it is adorable and pleasing to the eyes.Another!"she yelled as she threw her hammer onto the ground. Skullora began laughing hysterically and when she finally calmed down Fox elbowed her in the side with raised her eyebrows."So... would you say that you have been Loki'd?"
"I am going to high five you in the face with a brick!"Skullora bluffed as she turned around and started walking back to Loki.
"Oh come on,it's a simple yes or no question!"she called after her."No Thunderhead,if you are talking about what I think you are,I have not been Loki'd."
"That's not what it looks like...How did you get that red mark on your neck?And you can't say that it's a battle scare!"
"Oh so now it's a crime to let someone-"Suddenly Skullora's leg decided to stiffen up on her again, causing her to fall on a rock.She cursed loudly,the rock had reopened the wound on her leg and warm blood began to trickle down her leg.
Fox rushed to her aid but Loki was the first to reach her.She forcefully pulled up Skullora's dress and seen the cut on her leg.
"Only you could fall on a blunt rock and end up hurt this badly."she sighed.Then Fox noticed the wound looked like it had been healing and just reopened.At this point she wasn't surprised,she was accustomed to seeing her friend with these type of wounds."What did you do this time?"
Fox asked bluntly,she was glad that she packed a bottle of 'the water of the falls'.
"This was not her doings,she was hit by a man with a metal arm."Loki sighed as he took Skullora's hand.
"A metal arm..."Fox pondered as she ravaged through her bag,looking for the medication."Aha!"she cried as she pulled out a silver and blue glass bottle."There is only one person I could think of who fits that description...What did you do to piss off Bucky?"
"I posed as Loki...and I may or may not have his favorite knife,which was taken without permission...but that was after I was used as a dartboard." she answered sheepishly.Loki gave her a disappointed scowl,he had no idea about the knife,or that she was a thief.
Fox,who was fully aware of her friend's habits,shook her head as she poured the liquid onto Skullora's leg."We have talked about this Frosty,you can not take things from people without their permission.It upsets them...I swear sometimes you are worse than a child!Do you not remember how many times you have ended up in containment because of it?"she said angrily.
Skullora is in a lot of trouble from stealing,which is why she has been banded from entering Mirkwood on the orders of Thranduil,king of the woodland realm.Unfortunately,she has no respect for his authority and ignores that rule.
She only rolled her eyes,she had heard the speech thousands of times,"I could be doing a lot worse...and I said I would give it back,so I really do not see a problem here!"she thought aloud without meaning to.
"You honestly see no problem in what you are doing?"Fox said with a look of pure anguish."No I don't,like I said before,I was going to give the knife back!"
"I do believe that this is about more than one knife..."Loki said with a sigh.
"See,he gets it!"Fox barked.
Skullora pulled knife out by the blade and put the handle in Fox's hand. "Here!Take the freakin knife,if it makes you feel better then maybe you should go and return it!"she sneered.
Fox slide the knife into her bag and hosted it back onto her shoulder,along with the blue bottle of medication that healed Skulora's leg."Maybe I should!"
She growled as she stood up and began walking towards Moon,who met her half way.
"Where are you going,I was just being sarcastic!"Skullora laughed.
Fox didn't even turn around,she threw a leg over Moon's back and gave Skullora another nasty glare."I will be dammed if I just sit back and ignore what you are doing.I do not know if you get this or not,but you are my best friend and it is my unspoken duty to be your voice of reason because you clearly do not have one!I have watched you do this for years,up until this point I couldn't do anything about it because I couldn't go any where.Now I can do what ever the hell I want,and Im starting by taking this back.One day you are going to get locked away and you won't be able to get yourself out of it!Do you know how many nights I have spent worrying about that?And now you are laughing, is life just one big joke to you?Can you not,for just one second,be serious?I swear,if I didn't know any better I would think you were related to Tony Stark,because you are being a sarcastic asshole who does not take anything seriously!"
Skullora began laughing hysterically, which pissed Fox off even more.She gently kneed Moon in the side, signaling the warg to leave.Just as Moon turned away Skullora had caught her breath enough to say "No...Wait...I wasn't...laughing at...you...just what you said..."
"Then what the hell is so funny about what I just said?"she snapped.
Loki put a hand on Skullora's back, hoping it would help to calm her down."I am terribly sorry...I promise she has a good reason to laugh...just give her a moment.It really has nothing to do with you, honest."he sighed.
Fox slid off of Moon and crossed her arms,"What ever it is better be pretty dammed amusing!"
"It is..."Skullora finally said after a while of regaining her breath."There is so many things that you need to be caught up on.I also have something I need to tell...or more accurately show you!"
