Alphys called Undyne, her partner (Error was surprised to see her working as a healer and not a warrior like she should be) in healing, and they did their thing. Ink had bandages wrapped firmly around his side and had swallowed about a thousand elixirs. He was now awake and fine, sitting up on a table, grinning and thanking the healers.
"O-oh Ink, it was n-nothing--" Alphys stumbled.
Ink held her arm to steady her, and replied, "You practically saved my life. I don't know what I would do without you two, Alphys and Undyne,"
Error felt an odd pang twist through his ribcage.
"I was the one who dragged you here," he blurted out furiously. "Not that you care,"
"Error--" Ink began, but Error had stood up and spun on his heel, already speaking as he stormed towards the door.
Still in a huffy mood, he shot back at Ink before he could finish. "And I waited to make sure you were alive. Not like I ever get any credit."
Ink watched Error march out of the store from the doorway, shivering in the slight cold.
...
"E-Error, is Ink h-hurt again?" Alphys stuttered, a petrified look on her small, narrow face.
Undyne hovered behind the healer like clouds over a field. "What do you want?" she growled.
Error replied with a malicious, satisfied smile. "Oh, nothing much, just the shattered fragments of your souls,"
...
"ERROR!!" Ink yelled furiously. He'd finally found Error's hiding spot, in the Snowdin of Underfell. He'd just leapt out of a paint splash in the ground, looking about annoyedly for the black Sans. I knew he'd find out eventually, so why was I so worried about it? Error wondered.
He revealed himself. "Sup,"
"YOU KILLED THE HEALERS! COME HERE!" Ink screamed. One of his pupils was red, the other one was a blue diamond. Error took a deep, exasperated breath and strolled casually over to him.
As he reached him, he leaned close and whispered, "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't,"
"You're gonna regret it," Ink scowled.
"Sure," Error smirked.
He could feel Ink's breath on his cheeks, hot with fury. The white skeleton's eyes sparkled, dark with anger, and Error pondered not for the first time if he hated him. But there was something buried deeper, that nobody could figure out. Ink's secrets, stuff that he never told anybody. Error noticed every detail of his skull, the curves of his cheekbones, his perfectly straight teeth, the slightly darker patches of white where he'd been injured before.
Then Ink straightened up, suddenly looking smug. Error tried to move, but he couldn't - Ink had wrapped him in the unbreakable purple paint chains. He groaned dramatically.
"Oh nooo, I am trapped..." Error pretended, in a monotone, fake voice. He rolled his eyes at Ink's lack of creativity.
But Ink wasn't done. He whacked Error with his paintbrush so hard that it sent him flying through the air, shrieking in fury and shock. "INK!!"
Ink let a tiny smile slide into place on his skull.
...
Error had landed on a snow-ridden pine tree, and fallen down six layers of branches, being whacked and poked painfully by twigs, pinecones and pine needles on the way. He moaned in pain, rubbing the sore spots, and teleported out of the bonds. They purple chains fell to the frosty ground at his feet, limp and listless. In the background, Error could hear arguments and yelling, as well as some sort of crooning. He ignored it and created a portal back to his own AU, a world that he had emptied, so that there was nothing there apart from the few possessions that Error had 'collected' over the years.
He slumped onto his sofa and switched the TV onto the newest episode of Undernovela, an epic Spanish TV programme by Jakei. Lazily draping his limbs over the cushions, Error let himself relax for a while.
Really, Error should know by now, that there's no such thing as relaxing in the Underverse. Only twenty minutes into his favourite show, someone appeared on the other side of his AU, a strange and ominous-looking figure.
"Who are you?" Error called to the figure. He came out of the light, and Error squinted into the brightness to make out the character.
"Yooooo ma dude, wassup bro, is your life lit cuz we could legit throw this off-the-hook, rad party if ya like, since your place is so LONER dude," exclaimed a horribly familiar voice.
Error didn't think his day could get much worse, but clearly, he was wrong. He scowled so hard that even Ink would be intimidated.
"So, bro, whassit gonna be?" Fresh!Sans grinned toothily. His sunglasses had question marks scribbled over the lenses.
Error created a portal, and before he stepped in, he turned off his TV and said to Fresh, "Leave please,"
Then he disappeared into a vortex of black.
"Oh hey Error. Did you enjoy your flight earlier?" Ink asked cheekily, as he saw the skeleton open a portal into his AU space.
Error shot him an unamused look. "Fun," he replied sarcastically.
"So what are you doing here? Fresh being annoying?" his expression was knowing.
Error teleported right in front of him. "You sent Fresh?!"
"I never said that," Ink smiled, raising his hands like a surrender.
The other skeleton sighed and rolled his eyes. "I was bored, and yes, Fresh invaded my house,"
"It's not a house," Ink teased, pushing Error back by his shoulders. One of his fingers got caught on a little strand of blue string, and Error grinned and yanked on it, jerking Ink upwards before he could unhook his fingerbone from the string.
"Oi," Ink said, but he was laughing as he unwound the string from his bone.
Error couldn't help but smile as he created hundreds of bones, faintly glowing lilac, and aimed them at Ink.
A little too late, he threw up a shield of black paint, and some of the bones scratched him. He snickered. "Yikes,"
Error dematerialised the bones and ambled forwards. Ink grinned, then whacked him with his paintbrush, painting a long gash of orange paint over Error. He stumbled back, then yelled out in pain as it started to burn.
"Whoops, wrong paint," Ink apologised, but he didn't look or sound sorry. In fact, he was laughing as Error tried to scrape the paint off his face. Finally it stopped the horrible burning and he launched forward at Ink.
He landed on top of him, and a startled Ink lost his balance, so that he lay on the blank white floor with Error on top of him. He growled furiously.
One of Error's skeletal fingers found the multi-coloured vials of emotions that Ink took to have feelings. He pinched an acid green, harder and harder, until it shattered and sprayed all over the both of them. Ink cried out and immediately kicked Error off of him. His kick threw the black, glitching monster into the white wall.
Ink collected the shattered fragments of glass, then painted them with a clear paint, and they fixed back together. "You killed the healers, and they made my emotions. Now how am I supposed to feel this ever again?"
Error purred quietly, happy with his destruction, even though it had cost him quite a hard thwack into the wall. His spine was aching, and he wondered if he'd broken any bones, however they all seemed fine.
"I can't believe you Error," sighed Ink, shaking his head disapprovingly.
