Tuesday 2:59 AM: "What Will Be"

I looked at Duncan and he looked at me. What on Earth are we going to do? I died because of him and he died for me, just to go back to earth and end up with completely different people. But if that's what was meant to happen then so be it. Duncan looked nervous to answer, so I looked at the man in the white tux and did what was best for both of us. "We will go back to Earth." I said and Courtney immediately jumped up from her seat, "So I DON'T have to go to hell?!" She exclaimed and the man in the tux nodded.

He was about to snap his fingers when I suddenly stopped him. "Me and Duncan won't remember each other?" I said, and he replied with "Satan, God, and I made it pretty impossible for you two to even be in the same  room and like each other, you two will practically be enemies"  answered and before I could say anything he snapped his fingers and my memory was wiped. I was asleep up until my mom barged into my room. "Gwendolyn you're going to be late for school it's already 8, get dressed!" She said with orange juice in her hand. I got up and walked straight to my mirror, I felt different and when I looked in the mirror I felt shocked. When did I grow out my hair? But I have been living this life for the past 17 years why was I so shocked, shouldn't I have noticed this change?

I felt weird, but a good weird.

-Duncan's POV-
I woke up in my trailer because of my dumb alarm that I don't even remember setting up last night. I checked my phone to press snooze but turns out it wasn't an alarm, my girlfriend was calling. Courtney just doesn't know what it's like to not be a morning person. I declined her call and went back to sleep. I had a good 5 minutes of sleep until she called again. And I decided to finally pick up. "Why did you decline my call earlier?! And you're going to be late, where are you?! You better not be skipping again Duncan or so help me I will..." She nagged until I cut her off. "I am already on my way sunshine" I said getting up from bed and hanging up the phone. I don't know why I'm still with her. I thought to myself as I put on some clothes and got into my truck.

It took about 15 minutes for me to make it to school, the traffic was hectic. But I made it and Courtney was standing right by the school entrance waiting for me. She always does that, it's like a morning routine. So I got out my car and walked over to her so we'd walk in together.

-Gwen's POV-
I had just gotten to school 5 minutes ago and I was getting my late pass when I looked over to the door. And there they were, my best friend and my enemy.

I walked up to them and gave Courtney and hug. "Hey bestie" She said hugging me tightly back. I released her and looked at Duncan, eww I hate him. He stared at me and I rolled my eyes at him, I wasn't sure what about him I hated so much but I knew I hated him.

-Duncan's POV-
I walked into the school with my arm around Courtney and then her best friend appeared in front of us. Gwendolyn. I wasn't sure what about her gave me butterflies in my stomach, yeah I know it sounds gay, but she did. I don't know what made me crave her so much, maybe it was her attitude, her appearance, or maybe her bad ass reputation. But looking at her made me want her not Courtney. I would have said something but her and Courtney are best friends, plus she walked away anyway.

"So we're going to your place after school?" Courtney turned to me and I nodded. She kissed me on the cheek and walked to her first period and I did the same. It felt like I had been in that class for years but it was only 1 hour and a half. Before I knew it the lunch bell rang and everyone ran to the cafeteria. Courtney was in line waiting for me and I noticed Gwen sitting with Noah (A knew kid) I was just about to go walk over to them until I heard "Babe over here!" from the lunch line. I rolled my eyes and kept walking to Gwen's table.

"Hi Gwen, could I uh- talk to you real quick?" I said sounding like some little boy trying to talk to his crush. "What do you want?" She answered while crossing her arms. "So I'm doing a movie night tonight and I wanted to know if you'd want to come" I said, obviously lying, she was the only person that would be at my house when Courtney left I needed to build a relationship some how even if it was just as friends. She looked at me for a blank second and then bursted out laughing. "Me? Go to your house? Noah are you hearing this? Yeah umm... no bye juvie" she replied nudging Noah. I nodded, accepting that I shouldn't have invited her, like I said she's courtney's best friend what was I thinking?

I went next to Courtney and put my arm around her as we walked to our table with Heather, Bridgette, Geoff, Trent, and Alejandro. Time flew past and school later on ended. I walked to Courtney's last period and walked her to my car before driving her to my place. When we got to my trailer she changed and sat on the couch, I did the same and we just sat there.

"So for the Halloween party on Friday, who's getting invited?" She asked and I was confused. "What Halloween party?" I asked and she laughed like it was funny. "We have been planning this party for the past month, Halloween is in 2 days babe, you don't remember?" She said looking at me concerned. "Oh yeah, the Halloween party. Of course I remember. So what costume are we wearing? And the entire school is invited" I said and she looked at me as if questioning everything that I had just said. "Even the nerds?" She finally replied. "Even the nerds" I said. She was about to say something but then she just shrugged it off. "We could dress as a devil and angel" she said, and something about that made me feel uncomfortable but I'm a man, I had to act like one it wasn't even that serious. So I nodded and told her I would get the costumes tomorrow. She agreed that it was fine and called her dad to see if he was home so she could go home. About 30 minutes later she kissed me and walked out and into her dad's car.

I closed the door and went to shower, as soon as I got out someone was banging on my door.
