"Mom." Percy chocked out. Jason stared at Sally. The woman looked so unbelievably kind with her startling deep blue eyes and crinkles around her nose. Her brown hair was pulled back into a loose messy bun. She was wearing a blue sweater top that looked a size too big for her, and was resting her arms protectively over her stomach.
She's pregnant. Jason realised. That would explain why she was in the hospital-she must have come for a check up.
Now that he realised it, he noticed a bump in her stomach. It wasn't prominent yet, but it was visible once a person realised it.
(A\N: this is the spoiler, but as I said, you guys probably knew.)
Sally still continued to look at her son. Her baby boy who was in a wheelchair.
To say that she was confused was an understatement.
"Percy? Honey, w-what's happening?" She asked Percy softly, her voice trembling.
"You're pregnant." Percy stated, looking at his mom with wide Bambi eyes.
She ignored his statement. "What happened Percy? What-?" Her voice catches. "What is going on?" She stepped forward, and raised her arms in an attempt to touch Percy.
Jason, unfortunately had to step in. "Careful, Ms.Jackson. He just went through a surgery. He is very sore."
Jason ignored the glare Percy sent him.
Sally turned to Jason. "What do you mean, surgery?" She demanded. "What happened?"
"It's Mrs.Blofis now, Jase." Percy interrupted.
Both of them ignored Percy.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs.Blofis. My name is Jason Grace. Annabeth must have told you about me...?" Jason trailed off.
Ofcourse, Sally knew him. Annabeth had indeed told her, he was the boy with amnesia when Percy was missing too.
"Sally, what's taking you so long?" A deep, familiar voice rang out.
Percy's eyes widened and he cursed under his breath again. "Oh man holy shit!"
Paul emerged round the corner, a confused frown on his face. He noticed Sally and walked towards her, when he stopped right on his tracks abruptly, staring at his stepson with wide eyes.
Paul knew that he didn't know Percy for long, but he loved him like he was his own son.
"Percy..." He trailed off, not knowing what to say.
Percy tried to keep his panic in check. "Paul... Mom... I can explain!" He said in a breathy voice.
"Hey, Jason, are you walking or rolling? Come on, let's go alre- oh" Will stopped short, glancing at the two all too familiar people.
"Will!? What are you doing here? Can someone please tell me what is going on here?" Sally pleaded, looking close to tears. Paul rubbed his hand reassuringly on her shoulder, while staring at Percy.
Percy glared at Will and tried to stand, only to be pushed back into the chair gently by Jason.
"I told you I didn't need a wheelchair! Now see what happened!" He hissed at Will.
"Sorry, Percy. But I'm the doctor here and I decide what a patient needs and doesn't need." He said firmly to Percy and turned to Sally.
"Hi, Sally. It's been a long time. How are you?" He asked gently, his voice going for strict to kind in a matter of seconds.
