"It's literally a spider. It's not even real, either. Literally everything here is in my head."
"But it's cute!"
"Nightmare, we are literally inside of my head. THAT SPIDER IS NOT REAL."
"But-"
"Also, spiders are not cute. Cats are adorable, not eight-legged...things..."
Nightmare held his arm up, letting the large spider run up it to his shoulder while Error watched with an expression of confusion.
Nightmare was a white boned skeleton, wearing a golden circlet with a moon engraved into it. He wore a purple shirt, the collar lined with gold, black pants, and purple boots with golden buckles. Sitting on the edge of a very high cliff, he swung his legs backwards and forwards absent-mindedly while watching the spider climb up higher on his arm. The sky was onyx black, stars littering it like little diamonds, bright white and sparkling. Error lay about a metre away, gazing up at the stars. Suddenly the spider fizzed away into nothing and Nightmare huffed, dropping his arm back down and turning to Error. "Why'd you do that?"
"I felt like it." He said, "Anyway, what happened to, 'I've got to go into people's dreams tonight'?"
Nightmare snorted, "I'm in your dream. That counts... probably. And I actually did go to a few others tonight, one of them was- well, take a guess."
"In the middle of the ocean?" Error smirked.
"There was a whale, Error!"
"Cool. I'd have tried to get closer to it. Whales are nice."
"It could swallow you whole!"
"Nice. Can I make a whale appear right now?" Error asked, genuine curiosity in his voice.
"Uh.. you're pretty lucid, so maybe? But don't?" Nightmare said.
"I want to not be lucid, I just want some decent sleep." Error sighed.
"Then I'll go, you're lucid because I'm here and-" Nightmare was cut off by a crash.
"...What was- oh, that'll be Reaper." Error rolled his eyes at the though of the cloaked skeleton ruining his apartment.
"Oh. Well as I was saying, I'll go," Nightmare stood up, "See you tomorrow or something?"
"Yeah, sure..." Error flopped back down.
And with a click of his fingers, Nightmare disappeared.
**
"Are you going to wake up at some point?"
Error woke suddenly, but his eyes remained closed. "What do you want?" He said, pulling the covers over his face.
"It's 11am, you should get up." The voice said.
"No... Wait, you're not Reaper." Error pulled off the covers and opened his eyes to see both Reaper and Nightmare standing by his bed. And Geno was in the doorway.
"...Why are there so many people in my apartment?"
"Well, I came here because Reaper said he was here, and I needed to talk to him about that stunt he pulled for like, two weeks." Nightmare huffed, shooting Reaper a glare, who just shrugged.
"...And why are you here?" Error said with a groan to Geno, forcing himself out of bed.
"Wow, I feel so welcome," Geno said, "I'm here because you don't answer any of my texts. Ever. The only way to communicate with you is to hunt you down and speak to you in person, which is weird considering how much of a tech nerd you are."
