Shoto approached the training ground carefully, following his father's footsteps and trying to not make any more sounds since he knew that even the slightest sound would get him in more trouble than he already was.

As Endeavor walked inside the room, he slammed the door close aggressively and pushed the youngest to the other side of the room, adding a few more bruises to the back of the boy.

"Stand up straight. If your posture is that crooked one more time I will break your back so that you won't be able to bend that way anymore." The father threatens with an unforgiving expression.

"I don't need one more useless idiot like the fucker you call your brother. He will never reach anything in his life, unlike you. Because I will be the one who will make you the number one hero."

Fixing his posture instantly, the boy tried to not yelp at the pain throbbing from his backside and instead concentrated on breathing properly.

"Now back to the training. You still haven't learned how to use your damn quirks properly, so either you're just plain stupid or not willing to learn and listen to me."

"I know damn well that you're not that stupid, so you're simply lacking the will to learn. Aren't you?"

Enji scowled as he continued getting dangerously close to the now visibly shaking boy.

"What's wrong? Is my poor little Shoto scared of me? If you keep that fucking attitude up you're never going to make it far. Never be scared of something. Overcome it and finish it off with one direct strike."

Endeavor now stood immediately in front of Shoto, looking him straight into his watery eyes.

"Try to land one hit on me."

The boy's mouth was opened slightly while looking stunned at the older man in front of him.

"B-but father, I can't." Upon those words Enji grabbed the boy by his collar, dragging Shoto even closer to himself.

"ARE YOU EVEN TOO DAMN WEAK TO LAND ONE SIMPLE HIT ON ME? YOU'RE AS PATHETIC AS THE REST OF THIS FAMILY."

With those words he slammed the now sobbing boy on the ground, towering over him and balling his fist, ready to punch him.

Suddenly the white- haired female ran inside of the room to attempt to hold her husband back, instinctively trying to protect the boy once again from the beatings he has inevitably received.

Enji pulled his arm away from Rei and pushed her away from him against the wall.

The female, who was now laying on the ground, let out a small whimper from the pain radiating throughout her body..

When Shoto finally managed to look up, he immediately saw how his mother was once again at the feet of her husband, taking his punches and insults while not daring to make a sound.

A few moments after, which felt like an eternity, Natsuo and Fuyumi ran inside of the room, trying to stop their father from beating her to death.

"FATHER STOP! YOU CAN'T KEEP HURTING MOTHER AND SHOTO JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT TO TRAIN ALL THE TIME-"

After hearing those words he shoved the two children holding onto him away, walking out of the room angrily and slamming the door behind him shut.

Shoto ran over to his mother as soon as he left and tried to help her stand up. But failed due to him not having enough strength in his fragile body.

He collapsed beside his mother and started crying so much that his body trembled from all the stress and exhaustion.

Fuyumi and Natsuo looked at each other and communicated silently about how they should handle this situation.

Soon after Fuyumi walked over to Rei and helped her stand up and held her close while they made their way towards her mother's room.

Shoto trembled on his knees when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder.

As he looked up he saw his brothers calming face looking lovingly at him.

"Are you alright, Sho?" Natsuo asked as he picked up the smaller boy, wiping his little tears away carefully.

Shoto continued sobbing quietly and held tightly onto the elder boy, who was now walking towards the youngest room.

When they finally entered the room, Shoto's sobbing quieted to hiccuping and a flushed face.

Natsuo walked to the window and sat down on the chair with Shoto on his lap, caressing his soft hair and holding him close.

"You're going to be fine, Shoto."

Shoto nodded and cuddled impossibly closer to his brother.

"I wish I could play with you guys more often or just be closer to all of you. He doesn't even let me hug you like this often."

Natsuo sighed and kissed Shoto's forehead.

"I know, Sho. I hope that one day he realizes how stupid he is and let's you be with us."

Natsuo and Shoto continues to talk about what they could do together and where they could go as a family, solemnly imagining how their lives would be without their father's constant abuse.

Soon exhaustion overcame Shoto and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep in his brothers lap.

When he awoke later that night, he was laying on his bed with both the curtains and the door closed.

He immediately yawned as he arched his back, thankful for the sleep he managed to obtain.

However, he suddenly heard quiet mumbling behind him and quickly turned to face whoever was in his room.

Shouto couldn't open his eyes as he felt his body being dragged on the ground.

The only thing he could hear were the grunts and moans coming from the man carrying him.

He groaned and tried to pull back from the death grip on his collar while he whined at the pain cascading along his entire body.

"I'll erase every trace of that bastard from you."

Upon hearing those words he felt his consciousness quickly slip again as he unintentionally blacked out.
