Kyomi's day off stretched out quietly ahead of her, a rare chance to breathe and catch up with the small moments she cherished most: time with Mineso and little Minches. The sun filtered softly through the curtains as the three of them settled into the worn couch, the baby cooing gently in Kyomi's arms. 

Yet even in this calm, Kyomi's mind buzzed relentlessly with thoughts of Jae-Hyun—the way he moved, the sharp mix of danger and desire, and the knot of confusion tightening deep inside her. She found herself stealing glances at the door as if expecting him to walk in, heart racing at the memory of his touch.

Mineso watched her with a quiet concern, well aware of the storm swirling beneath Kyomi's calm surface. She knew her best friend too well to miss the conflicted look in her eyes or the way her smile sometimes faltered when the subject drifted near Jae-Hyun. 

Yet when Kyomi finally admitted, hesitantly and with a nervous laugh, how tangled and complicated her feelings for him had become, Mineso's response was silence—a heavy, thoughtful quiet that filled the space between them. Unsure of what to say, unsure how to help, Mineso simply reached out and squeezed Kyomi's hand, offering steady support without words.

The silence lingered, thick and meaningful, as Kyomi wrestled with her own doubts. She wanted reassurance, or perhaps a warning—but Mineso's quiet presence said more than words ever could. It was a reminder that some things couldn't be fixed with easy answers, and that sometimes the best she could do was trust herself to navigate the mess, even when it seemed impossible. In that quiet afternoon, surrounded by the soft coos of Minches and the unspoken bond of friendship, Kyomi realized how much she needed someone like Mineso beside her—and how much she needed to find strength within herself.

While Kyomi slipped away to the bathroom, Mineso settled deeper into the couch, her fingers automatically scrolling through her phone. The soft hum of the apartment and the gentle coos from Minches filled the quiet space. Her thumb paused over an article headline—new dates for BTS's tour had just been announced. 

Mineso's heart skipped a beat as she read through the details, noticing with a sinking feeling that Daegu was again on their itinerary, just a few weeks away. The thought of the band returning to the city stirred a swirl of emotions she wasn't ready to voice.

She kept the screen dim and tucked away from view when Kyomi returned, carefully hiding the unease settling in her chest. Mineso knew how fragile Kyomi's peace was, how the last encounter with the band had left her rattled and vulnerable. Bringing up the tour dates might only reopen old wounds or ignite new fears. 

But deep down, Mineso couldn't shake the nagging thought: if Yoongi was truly searching, if the band had caught even a glimpse of Kyomi, then their return to Daegu could bring everything crashing back in.

Sitting there quietly, Mineso weighed her options. Should she warn Kyomi? Prepare her? Or should she let her friend live in the calm a little longer, before the storm inevitably came? The responsibility felt heavy, but Mineso knew she would face whatever happened alongside Kyomi—ready to protect her, even if it meant confronting the painful unknown. For now, though, she chose silence, wrapping her concern carefully beneath a smile, hoping the moment would last just a little longer before the inevitable tide shifted again.

The next day, Kyomi arrived at the café just as her shift was beginning, the morning bustle slowly building around her. As she moved behind the counter, setting out pastries and filling orders, she kept a watchful eye toward the door—half expecting to see Jae-Hyun walk in like he had every other day that week. But the door remained closed, and no familiar figure slipped through.
