Author POV

Scared, alone, those and many more were the feelings that the young dragon was feeling. Captured by humans to be tested on for magic, Dark magic. But, she was still grateful for the king sparing her life and not kill her. Only having her hidden where no one could find her. Many times the king had tried to gain her trust; but it proved worthless. She would barely eat, sleep, or drink from anything the humans had offered her. When the high human mage that used dark magic came; offering her food and water, she refused.

The Light Fury wanted to go home, not rot here in a cage all alone and never be set free. One day, she overheard guards coming, it was her usual feeding time. Chatting away as they thought she was un-intelligent, when in fact; she was. Listening to every word they were saying. "Hey, a soldier reported of Moonshadow elves coming." One guard blubbered away. "Yeah, King Harrow is having everyone ready when they come when the moon is highest. That's when they'll be invincible." Another added.

A few minutes has passed and small footsteps could be heard. "Okay Bait, I think we'll be safe here." A young voice said. 'What kind of a name is, Bait?' She said in her head. The footsteps stopped in front of her cage that resided near where a very object was located. "Whoa, what is that?" The child said, unlocking the door with his hands. She could feel him touching her smooth scales with a gentle touch of his hand.

"Don't worry, I can get you out." He began his work by unlocking the muzzle that rested tightly on her mouth to stop her from breathing fire. When it was taken off, she scurried back into the far corner of her large cage to get away from the human.

Her full round pupils turned into slits, her retractable teeth showing in aggression and fear. "Please, I can get you out. Can you please trust me?" The child asked. The Light Fury calmed down a little and slowly approached his little hand that stood out to her. Following his movements, he guided her out of the cage and to a secret passage he found. "Stay here, I have to find Callum." He said, climbing back up the stairs and it closed. Leaving her alone with a object the world thought was destroyed.

Not even 20 minutes later, footsteps could be heard as the rumble of the stairs was coming out. Quickly, she used her cloaking ability to hide away when the voices came again. And the rumble of stairs was going back up. "Psst.... are you still here?" The young male asked. "Who are you talking too?" Another young male asked, but older. Seeming as the younger one saved her, she uncloaks herself from under a desk, eyes still slits. "A-a dragon!" He exclaimed.

She looked both ways and growled for him to keep it down. Then, the stairs started moving again as a another came down. An elf, a Moonshadow elf set eyes on her and the princes. "A dragon?! Your kind is evil than I could have ever imagined." She sneered venoumously. "H-how did you get here?" The young prince asked. "I just followed the patterns of the jelly handprints." She said with interest, and the prince hit his face and left a jelly mark.

When the elf stepped closer, the Light Fury growled and stepped in front of the princes. "What is she doing?" She said in confusion. "I-I can show you something, if you allow me." He reasoned, nodding her pointed her sharp dual blade at the taller one. "Okay, you, remove it slowly." She threatend. "I can feel something in there, something alive." And pulled off a blanket that revealed a beautiful, blue dragon egg. "I-it can't be..." The elf said in amazement. "The egg, it wasn't destroyed." The Light Fury came up and sniffed the egg. "He's okay in there, I can feel it!" As the elf knelt down next to the Light Fury and face the egg.
