Sleeping on a branch, tucked behind my wings. I'm finally free, after so long. But, why am I sticking around? I could be going home right now and reuniting with my mate, Shadow. But, returning the egg to his mother is most important; I can't leave them. Not after what they did for me, for freeing me. Opening my wings a little, I cracked it a little bit to see Rayla trying to get the ribbon off her left wrist. Saying several phrases that she thinks will have it come off instantly.

"So what if I'm talking to my ribbon thing?" Rayla said accusingly to the glow toad. Then, they started having a glare-off at each other. The glow toad licked its eye with his long tongue and Rayla recoiled in disgust. Closing my wings again, I fell asleep. The next morning, I feel something gentle touching my wings, growling lowly a bit, I crack it open to see Rayla looking at me. "Hey, good morning." Realizing it I jumped down and stretched my whole body and yawned.

Looking over, I saw Callum drawing in a book. Walking over, I sat next to him in curiosity. He looked back to the weird, glowy sphere in his hand. Then, back to drawing. Rayla walked to him. "Callum. Callum." Trying to get his attention, getting annoyed by him ignoring her. I hit him in the head. "Hey!" She yelled, and he jumped up. "That's your name right, Callum? Clem? Or was it Camel?" She asked. "Uh, it's Callum." He replied. "I guess I was just distracted trying to draw this... prima-ball." Callum said. "Primal stone." Rayla corrected. "Right." He said right back.

"It holds the pure essence of a primal spirit inside." As he held the stone a bit closer to his face. She sighs, "Primal Source?" Correcting him again. "Right." He says once again. "You do know what the Six Primal Sources are?" Rayla asked him. "Uh, if I say yes, are you gonna make me name them." Rolling her eyes, Callum gave her the book as she doodled symbols. "All magic in the world comes from the Primal Sources. They're the original and purest forms of magical energy. The Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Ocean, and..." As she tapped the primal stone. "The Sky." She nods. "Yes. To cast a spell, a mage needs Primal Energy. So that wind breath spell you did? You'd usually need a storm or at least a strong breeze. " Rayla looked down the Primal Stone.

"But with that stone, you have all the power of the Sky, any time." She explained. "Wow..." Callum mumbles to himself. "Primal Stones are incredibly rare. They've been sought after by the most powerful arch-mages in history. And now, somehow you have one." As she tossed the book to Callum and he re-opened the book again, looking at the symbols. "Wait, I... I've seen these before. At the Banther Lodge. There was this little cube thing and it these exact symbols on it." He told her, I scoffed in response. "Uh, neat." Rayla replied. "What if it's magic? We have to go get it." Callum said, abruptly standing up with his drawing book. "Wait what? We have real problems to worry about. Ending the war, taking the egg and dragon to Xadia. Remember?" She told him, he was picking up his weird bag thing and threw it over his shoulder. He walked over a rock. "Xadia's to the east, right? So is the lodge. It's on the way." He persists. "Oh great. I'm sure it won't be crawling with humans." Rayla started. "Humans that want to find you, and want to kill me. Yay!" She ended with sarcasm, then crossed her arms together.

"No, it's the winter lodge. It's been empty for months. Trust me." He looked over to Rayla, then me with reassuring eyes. Nodding toward him, he smiled. But, Rayla didn't budge, he sighed. "Look... Rayla." Callum started, talking about how he wasn't good at being a prince; but when he said that doing magic was the greatest thing he ever did. He was confident that was his talent, and I did not see why not. Each of them had their own individual talents, but I have yet to discover what the little boy, Ezran can do. After a bit of guilt tripping Rayla into coming along, she made her way into the lodge while I cloaked myself.

Far away from humans, but close enough to get them out of there. As Callum and Ezran were quietly walking toward the lodge in secret, noises were heard. Yelling, and the trotting of horses came closer as they stood in front of the lodge. The rider from the front of the group stepped off, taking off- her helmet? I growled quietly, that woman.... she looks familiar... I just can't put my finger on it. As she hugged the Prince's, must've been their aunt. She saw the window to the lodge opened and pushed them aside.

She broke the doors with a simple thrust of her foot. Soldiers were stationed all around the lodge. I saw Rayla climbing around the lodge and it seems she got inside with no problem. However, hours had passed and no signs of the elf or Prince's. At this rate, I needed to take matters in my own... uh- paws. I silently creeped passed the humans with my cloaking, making little movements to stay quiet as possible. A big flash was seen inside the lodge, hoping that they were okay. In which they were. Uncloaking myself as we neared the bridge and the humans stopped us.

My eyes turned into silts, my retractable teeth showing as I jumped up and unleashed my magic breath at the group of humans

My eyes turned into silts, my retractable teeth showing as I jumped up and unleashed my magic breath at the group of humans. They all scrambled to get out of the way as I did it again. "Callum, Ezran, get over here now." The orange haired Human commanded, speaking for the deaf woman. "Wait! You got it all wrong!" Callum pleaded. Then, he started doing the same hand movements as the woman did. Rayla looked worriedly at Callum, then me. "What did he say?" She questioned. "That you both are monsters. You both are going to kill them and drink their blood if you and that dragon don't let them go." My heart stopped, and I suddenly growled at Callum in anger. But, looking around me; I had no chance. So, I fled, I could feel them staring at me as I flew into my magic breath and disappeared.

The cloaking wore off after I felt I was far away from them

The cloaking wore off after I felt I was far away from them. Gosh, I thought I could trust Callum. But calling Rayla and myself monsters? It was not fair! They were monsters too! They're just to arrogant and stupid to admit that they harm us and our enviorment. Landing in a group of trees, I saw a pond, drinking the fresh, clean water as I tried to forget what Callum said about me. I couldn't stay in one place, I had to move on and not slow down. Maybe, I just need some time to myself, be alone for a while until I go back to them.
