As we finished up with work, I decided to grab Alex to go for a coffee in the dining hall. Luckily the players were still in training so the hall was quiet which I was greatful for as I didn't need no one overhearing what I wanted to tell Alex.

"What's bothering you?", he started wrapping my hands around the warm coffee mug. We were sat at the huge windows watching the players train below.

"What?", I replied. "Nothing is bothering me why do you ask?".

"I know when someone is keeping something in, it's a gift I have plus I'm not stupid, you've been tapping your fingers on your mug so frantically which is a sign of anxiousness". Wow he was good.

"If I say, promise this goes no further than between me and you", I said seriously looking at his big brown eyes.

"Cross my heart", he responded cutely making the gesture over his heart. I took a breathe, turning my head to look outside at the players training instantly catching sight of Kylian.

"Ok", I started. "I know I'm going to sound like the worst human being on the planet but I think I'm getting the feels for...", and before I could finish he interrupted.

"Kylian", he finished for me.

"How did you know it was him?", I said confused. I had never talked to Alex about Kylian before so I was right to be confused how he knew who I was speaking about.

"Oh my god", he rolled his eyes. "Even a blind man could see the tension between you two".

My eyes widened. "Really?".

"Why is that a bad thing anyway?", he asked. I looked at him confused.

"Maybe because he has a girlfriend?", I said obviously.

"Not that I hear", he shook his head.

"They've been together a while", I replied. I found it quite hard to believe Alex didn't know Kylian was currently off the market.

"I heard they broke up yesterday", he shrugged. "I might be wrong but...".

"Who told you that?", I jumped in looking down at Kylian laughing and joking as he trained with the others. His smile was so infectious.

"I overheard the players saying how happy he was then one of them was saying it was because he's single now", he explained. "So I guess you get first dibs".

Internally I was squealing however on the outside I was staying calm and collected. Who knows if Kylian was newly single. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't and I certainly was not going to wait around to find out which one it was. If he was I was not just going to swoop in there and beg for his affection I don't chase boys but I had to play my cards right to stay in the game.

"What are you thinking about?", Alex said softly watching me smiling slightly.

"What do I do? How do I act? We have not spoke since Saturday night and I know he will definitely bring it up when he see's me today". I started to fret a little, my belly filled with butterflies.

"You act normal, just brush it off. You don't want to seem too eager so just stay calm, stay focused but at the same time you need him to stay interested so don't push him away", he said tapping his chin. I thought to myself, this was so weird, I always knew how to act when I knew when I knew what I wanted. I was a confident person in general but with Kylian it was a little different, I turned into a shy little teen looking at her first crush.

"That's easy", I said sarcastically as I rolled my eyes. "Shit they're coming in", I said watching the players finish training and start walking inside knowing it was lunch time for them.

"Savanna!", Alex shouted in a whisper, "Get it together, you sound like a 15 year old girl, calm down you got this".

"Your right", I nodded. "I'm 19 not 9, I'm a big girl".

"Exactly", he laughed. "And he's walking this way".

"What?", I instantly started to panic looking around seeing Kylian walking over, jesus so much for big girl.

"Is this seat taken?", Kylian asked sitting down next to me.

"No", I smiled as Alex began to stand up. "Where are you going?". I looked around the food hall noticing it quickly filling up with players.

"I have to go", he said quickly smirking and walking away. Oh Alex.

"Bizarre (Weird)", Kylian mumbled. "So, how are you? Still recovering from Saturday night?".

"No", I glared at him as he chuckled. "I'm feeling perfectly fine thank you".

"Anyway there was something I wanted to ask you actually", he started looking at me. Oh god. I was so nervous as I just stared at him waiting for him to continue. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out sometime".

I raised my eyebrow and smirked. "Like a date". Stay in control Savanna.

His cheeks turned a little red as he nodded. Oh my god, was he the nervous one? "Sorry to break it to you, I don't date boys who have girlfriends, it's snide and I'm not into that".

He looked at the table messing with his hands for a few seconds before hanging his head down. "Had a girlfriend", he mumbled as I stayed quiet. "I broke it off last night".

"Why?", I questioned secretly happy he was now fully available for me to jump in and claim.

"We had been speaking about breaking it off for a while, we just was not feeling the same as we did when we first met so I just bit the bullet and ended it", he said lowly still not looking at me.

"Sorry", I sympathised "That's really shit". If anyone knew anything about a break up it was me. Even if it's a mutual decision it still hurts like hell. As happy as I was, I was now free to try my luck with Kylian, I knew how horrible it must be for him to speak about it. Saying that he's just asked me out on a date the day after breaking up with his girlfriend so it can't be that bad for him.

"Don't be, it was a mutual thing. We just lost interest I guess, we knew for a while we were forcing it so...", he said a little more upbeat now. "So about that date?".

I chuckled. "I don't think your really thinking straight right now. You just broke up with someone so your trying to find comfort in someone else which is understandable", I explained. "But out of respect for your girlfriend and so you can clear your head a little, I'm going to pass this time. Ask me again in a month...if your still up for it", I smirked.

He smirked back, shaking his head. "Oh je serai (Oh I will be)". I feel I was being a little risky by telling him to wait that long. What if he finds someone else in that time? What if he gets bored of waiting? As I said, I don't chase boys so I guess I'll just have to try my luck and wait it out.

This was going to be a long month.

"You did exactly what I said not to do", Alex sighed. "You pushed him away".

I frowned. "How is that pushing him away? I said to ask me again in a month".

"Fine", he shrugged. "Best hope someone else doesn't steal him in that time", he said. I laughed lowly, even if someone did catch Kylian's eye within this month I guess I wouldn't be too happy about it but everything happens for a reason. I was going to wait the month no matter what Alex said. My brain was telling me it was far too soon to be testing it with Kylian but if he was willing to wait for the month, then so was I.

"Guess we will find out", I said walking away.
