chapter 7
Love what you have. Revere what you dont.
Emily.
My best friend had seen who i truely was.
Would she attribute it to the heat? Think she was crazy?
Maybe if i pretended nothing had happened.... I sqeezed my wings to my back so hard, it hurt. At least they were out of sight now. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
Best case senario, a bug had flown in her eye right when i landed. Worst case senerio, she would tell the world and be sent to a 'mental hospital.'
Who was i kidding. Everything always seemed to be the worst case senerio. I took a deep breath.
"Um. hi Emily. What are you doing here?" i asked.
"What...what was that?!" She cried.
"Uh, what?"
"UM, I JUST SAW YOU FLYING WITH....with...wings."
Crap. there goes best case senerio.
"Wow...you must be really hot or something. Uh, wanna sit down? Drink of water?" I stuttered Nervously.
"Sure.." she said. "Lets go up to your room."
relieved for the change of subject, i almost skipped on the way upstairs to my room. When we got there, i noticed that she was staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing...wow nice shirt. is it new? lemme take a look...?" she said. in a flash, she had lunged forward and ripped off my shirt.
My new shirt, that i had spent 30 dollars on.
Oh yeah, and now my wings were showing.
And she was screaming.
