Chapter 10

My hands scrabble at the phantom restraints, but they have turned into tangled bedsheets.

Just a dream.

The dream.

The dream that has been haunting me for years, as long as I can remember.

It was haunting me day and night! It had to stop. I knew that most people went to a theripist, but if I did that, someone would find out about my wings. I can imagine a conversation between a theripist and a doctor now.

"Yup, she has wings all right. Call the F.B.I., no, the S.W.A.T. team, no, the president. Lets get this thing in a cage. Oh, and dont forget the big hypodermic."

I dont think so.

Lost in my mind, I almost didn't hear my dad yelling. Almost.

"Syn, get to bed. You have school tomorrow."

Crap.

School.

I groaned, as it was already midnight. Stupid late-night-over-thinking me.

Because school ment Jason.

And Jason ment heartbreak.

Yup, not looking forward for tomorrow.
