FP's POV
I was sitting in the dining room working on a case and Jughead was still asleep. I went to check on him and saw him staring somewhere. I sat next to him and said " Is there anything you need?" He looked at me for seconds and said " I need to talk to you "
" then go ahead ". He gave me a sad look, then continued " I heard you talking with Archie. Dad ! I think I've told you before that I don't want a nurse, then why did you do that to me?"
" listen Jug, I can't stay home every day and so does Archie. I just decided to hire someone who can take care of you when I'm not home "
"I can take care of myself dad "
"Then show me! Move only one of your fingers and cancel everything. Do it " I shouted.
" ok, thank you for reminding me that I can't even move my fingers but you disrespected me. I told you not to hire a nurse and you just did it . Dad do you even care about me and my feelings?"
"Are you the one who is asking me such a question? Then let me ask you this time. Did you care about me and the ones who love you when you wanted to shove those pills down your throat? I don't think so."
" I was doing the best I could "
" So am I . Now shut up and let me do the best "
And then it was me, Jughead and the silence between us. We were doing nothing until JB came downstairs and we both went to the dining room for dinner. We were eating dinner when JB said "Dad, I think we should tell mom . She has to know " I choked on my food and started coughing. Then I said " you know that we've already divorced, don't you? And in case you didn't know, I'm your official guardian because she was never a good mother you. Then why should I tell her?"
" But she's a mother a anyway. I know a mom's first priority is her child. By the way, she lives in Greendale; you know how fast the news spread in the area. What if she finds out? Have you ever thought about the consequences?"
" ok you're right. I'll call her tomorrow "
I couldn't continue my words because Jughead started calling me and I went to see what was wrong. I got there and saw him breathing heavily. " Dad I can't breathe " he said the moment he saw me. I was confused what was wrong with him, I put the oxygen mask on him but he didn't get any better. Then JB rushed to me and said "It's 9 PM dad. Did you just give him his meds?"
As soon as I heard that, I remembered about his medication program. OMG it was 9 PM and I was supposed to give his meds at 8. I quickly ran to bring his meds, brought three syringes and injected him. After about 10 minutes he could finally breathe.
We were sitting in the living room with Jug. "I'm sorry man. I could have killed you " I said.
"It wasn't your fault "
" I think now you understand why should we hire a nurse. I can't take care of you only for a day "
" I can't disagree"
"Then I guess he'll come tomorrow "
I didn't sleep that night and stayed with Jug. He was sleeping like a log and I could see peace in his face, but I knew there was a war inside his mind .

Jughead's POV
The next dad stayed home with me. Around 7 AM a guy named Cyrus came; he was like a 30 year old man wearing nursing clothes. He sat on the couch in front of me. "Mr. Warga, I think doctor Smith has already told you about my son. As you see he's totally paralyzed which means he's vulnerable too. So you should stay around him all the time" dad said.
" I know Mr. Jones. Your son is not the first one I'm taking care of. Now would you please tell me more about his treatments?"
" of course. Jughead's nervous system is damaged and we should consider all probabilities. He had respiratory attacks and seizures so they are more possible to happen. I want you to be really careful about his medications. Remember that he can't swallow things; please don't give him anything to eat, no matter how much he begs you, just feed him with the tube ok?"
" got it. Sorry if I ask but should I take him to bathroom or not?"
" no,no ,no he's using catheter. Just make sure it doesn't get infected. Also there's one more thing, he can go outside whenever and wherever he wants; just help him sit on his wheelchair and take him there. I think it's the start of your job . Fortunately I'm home today and I'll be watching you, do your job well and then you will be officially hired "
After that he looked at me and said "Hey Jug what's your idea? You ok?"
I closed my eyes which meant yes, then dad left the room and came back with two cups of coffee and gave one of them to that boy.
After an hour dad left home to buy some groceries and we were alone. He got closer and said " Jughead ,can I ask you a few questions?" I closed my eyes and he continued " I've seen you before.  You know Riverdale is a small town and you and your your friends are kinda famous here. I know you weren't like this last year but what happened man ? Was is an accident or what?"
" you know what, maybe you are the best nurse of Riverdale but I'm not sure if you are more than that because everyone knows that asking such a question from someone like me is not appropriate "
I'm sorry man. I just wanted to make a conversation but you're right.  I'm nothing except a nurse "
"At least you are a nurse. I'm nothing; I mean really nothing, just a lying man. Sometimes I think I'm not a human anymore, I only feel like a thing " I sighed
" I understand. As I said you're not the first one "
" What happened to them, they got healed or..."
" let's just not talk about them. So Jughead, do you want to go out today? Maybe in the evening?"
" no thanks ,home is much better "
"But you'll get depressed if you stay home all the time "
"I know but I can't. What if people see me? What is Betty see me?"
"Betty? It's getting amazing . So tell me who is that Betty girl?"
"She was my girlfriend, we broke up that night and I told my friends not to tell her anything about me "
"And you think hiding is the best way "
"Maybe "
