I walked with Lisa to our practicing grounds where Larry, Eva, and Chris awaited us. With Lisa being a newborn, I already knew she possessed great strength and powers. The more she controlled them, the better.
"Okay, Lisa. The first thing we should practice is shapeshifting. The key to shapeshifting is complete mental concentration. Just concentrate on what you wanna shift into", I instructed her.
She closed her eyes and stood completely still. About five minutes passed and she opened her eyes to see that nothing happened. She bit her lip as disappointment settled in. I went to her, giving her a hug to let her know it's okay.
"I don't understand why nothing happened, August.", she said in a sad tone.
"Baby, it's okay. Just focus and take your time. Don't rush it.", Larry said as he kissed her cheek.
This time she repeated her same actions but with deeper emotion. I could feel her concentration increase and it rippled through the atmosphere where we all stood. The wind began to pick up and the leaves started to lift around her. Suddenly, Lisa's human form transformed into a beautiful silver wolf with golden eyes.

Words couldn't describe how proud of Lisa I was. Legend has it, the very animal you shapeshift to is your spirit animal. Julius and the others appeared around Lisa, congratulating her. My eyes landed on Gabby. I gave her a wink and a smile as I watched her blush. Lisa transformed back to her former self and ran to me to give me and everyone else a bone-crushing hug.
"How did you feel, Lisa?", Julius asked.
"I felt so free. I've always loved wolves. Even as a little girl, I would always research them. It's like I've always had this connection with them.", Lisa replied with a smile, showing her fangs.
"Just remember the key to shapeshifting is pure concentration. The stronger your focus is, it will come faster to you.", Eva said as she hung an arm around Lisa.
