Laurent's P.O.V.
The laughing vampire walked toward us, extending his arms. He grabs Larry and I, giving us a bear hug, which lifted us off the ground.
"Larry! Laurent! How wonderful it is to see you! Happy birthday, my sons!", he chuckles.
He knows damn well we don't celebrate our birthday. However, leave it to him to throw a party anyway. The funny thing is, he does this every single year, against our wishes of course. Even as a mortal, I never understood the significance of throwing birthday bashes. It's the same thing every year.
"Good to see you as well. Thank you once again. Can you put us down now?", I ask.
"You know he does the absolute most!", Larry said, scowling as Lisa laughed at both of us.
"Oh, of course!", the man replies, placing us down.
He look over at Lisa with a curious look.
"Who is this lovely vixen?", he ask, referring to Lisa, who waved shyly.
Larry and I stood close to Lisa, wrapping one arm around her. "This is our lifemate, Lisa or Left-Eye, as her friends call her. Lisa, this jolly, happy-go-lucky fellow is Julius Bartholomew Bourgeois.", Larry introduced as she giggled.

"Oh! Must you be so formal with that? Just call me Julius, sweetheart!", he said happily as Lisa giggled.
"It's nice to meet you, Julius."
She extended her hand but Julius hugged her instead. That's just his personality. He's very compassionate and wears his heart on his sleeve. He's the reason we aren't heartless altogether.
"No need for handshaking. We hug in this clan.", he said, comforting Lisa.
Yes, Julius technically is our father. He changed us and adopted us to his clan when we were at our lowest. He really is a kind person and showed us how to deal with this lifestyle without being a monster. I sensed most of Lisa's fear disappear after seeing how friendly Julius was. Julius turns to the crowd, calming down all the commotion.
"Alright folks, back to the party. Nothing to see here!!", Julius exclaimed.
The crowd went back to interacting among themselves. Julius turns back to us. A bright smile was plastered on his face. I could tell he was truly pleased with who we picked to spend eternity with.
"So y'all finally found a lifemate? Good to see that, my boys! Sorry for the unexpected party but I couldn't help it. This house was begging for some company, and besides, it's your birthday! So what brings you here?", he asked.
"Well, we figured we'd find a dress for Lisa for our evening date.", I smirked.
"Date? Well, I'm sure Eva can help with the dress but why don't y'all stick around for a while. Some of us haven't seen y'all in years.", Julius says to us as Larry rolls his eyes playfully.
I look over at Lisa, who gives both of us a knowing look. As much as I hate to admit it, she's absolutely right.
"Lisa actually talked us into staying.", Larry stated as he held Lisa in his arms
"What do you want? Wanna stay a little while before we go out?", Larry asks her softly.
"Well, I don't see why not. As long as it's not a problem with anybody. As I said, it's y'all birthday. It should be celebrated.", she says shyly.

"No problem at all, sweetheart! This is Larry and Lau's house anyway. I'm just throwing the party.", he bursts out laughing.
After talking to Julius, we took Lisa's hand and led her upstairs, leaving behind a cackling Julius. It's extremely rare to catch him in a bad mood. If he's upset, you have pissed him off severely.
"One thing to know about Julius, he's ALWAYS in a good mood.", I whisper in her ear.
"That's where we get our sense of humor from.", Larry agreed.
Lisa noticed most of the female vampires glaring at her. She holds onto our arm tightly. I immediately gave them all a death stare. It's clear to see that they are extremely pissed we didn't choose them but what they won't do is disrespect Lisa, making her afraid.
"Don't worry, baby. They won't hurt you, not while we are around. They're stupid but not that stupid.", I said as she laughs and shakes her head.
"They're just jealous of you.", Larry reassures her.
I sense insecurities in her thoughts. She tries so hard to hide her dark thoughts but they scream so loud. I wish she didn't feel this way about herself.
"Jealous of me? Why? I'm only human. Nothing special.", she said, confused.
Larry and I stopped dead in our tracks at her statement. How could someone so beautiful think that she's not special? Slowly her insecurities are coming to the surface. Larry gently stroked her cheek and gazed into her beautiful eyes.
"My Lisa, why do you talk down on yourself so much? You are the definition of perfection in my eyes...in our eyes. The fact that we chose you, a human, doesn't sit well with them. They're also intimidated by you.", Larry said softly.
I can tell it hurts him when she doubts herself. Just like me, he's completely in love with Lisa. To watch the person you love not see their own potential can be very hurtful. No matter how much you build a person up, if they don't see their value, it doesn't matter.
"Intimidated for what? They look like angels!", she exclaimed.
We walked upstairs heading to the first room. The walls were Ivory with 19th-century furniture. The bed was covered with satin red and black sheets. The times have seriously changed and this house needs a major makeover.
"And so do you, my love. Trust me, we sensed it from their minds. They are intimidated by your beauty."
I closed the door behind us and Larry and I looked into a closet. "Whoever Eva is, I hope she doesn't mind you going through her stuff.", Lisa giggles.
I looked over my shoulder and wink at her. "No. Even if she does, she'll have to see us about that. She's like a pesky little sister to us.", Larry says, chuckling.
"Do y'all have any brothers or sisters?", she asked in a small voice.
I stood in silence for a while as Larry squinted his eyes. The family was always a hard subject to talk about.
"Not anymore. Our family died after we were turned. Julius took us in, making us a member of his clan. He treated us like his sons, even though he has two already. But enough of that, get undressed. I want you to try this on.", I said smoothly.
I knew EXACTLY what I was doing, and so did Larry. Lisa stripped down to her panties and bra and I couldn't help but enjoy the beautiful view. Damn, she looks so sexy! Within seconds, I appeared behind her wrapping my arms around her waist and nibble on her neck.
"Lau, I thought I was supposed to get dressed. Won't anyone hear us?"
"No need to rush. We have the entire night to ourselves. Besides, it's like you said, baby. It's our birthday and what better way to celebrate than to make love to our queen?", Larry says with a smirk as he kisses her neck, trailing down to her shoulder.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a little fun before our date.", she smiles, turning around to kiss me.
I moan softly returning the kiss. Mmm. The things that this woman does to us and she doesn't even try to!!!
"That's my girl.", I whisper softly in her ear.
I lead Lisa onto the bed, deepening the kiss as Larry begin to unstrap her bra. A little fun? Not likely...
