In Nietzsche's parable of the madman, the aforementioned is someone who has acknowledged or apprehended the metaphysical error in the world which, according to the author is belief in God. When the madman says "God is dead" he means he is deceased because he never existed in the first place. Not in the real world anyway, which is a world beyond the natural world, the one we live in. The first group the madman berates in Nietzsche's parable is a group of people who believe in God. Yet although later on, there are those who disagree- atheists and agnostics in the crowd, not one steps forward to support his claims. I write this to show you that nothing is, as the french say, fixé. Our timelines are constantly in flux. What you think should happen may not and you just have to be prepared on some level. What is isn't always what should be. Something rather life-changing could happen to you within the next hour and you would not see it coming.

Tomorrow is not promised. Say what you mean, hug a little tighter, love proudly and live each of your days like it is the last you will get to have. And in the event someone dear to you passes on, do not, for your sake, seek to understand why you will never get to hear them sing along to that song you thought annoying ever again. Do not go poking at open wounds. Let yourself heal. Learn to breathe again. Find a way to like living your life, even if it is a version without them. Hold onto something that makes you feel alive and never let go. Because they may be gone but you are still here. That matters.

You are a vessel in dangerous waters. You may not approve or have asked for the thunderstorms but the only thing you can control is how you react. Whether you make it to the shore by morning come or stay mad at the universe for allowing lightning to strike, is on you. Nevertheless, remember that it cannot rain forever.
