You open your eyes again after the second shot. The bright light above doesn't help, and you slowly realize you're starting to get a headache. The doctors seem to have disappeared, and you look around the room out of curiosity. The pain in your leg doesn't seem like it went away, so you cautiously lift up the hospital gown to examine the wound. It seems like the blood is all gone, and there are stitches holding it together. Although they did, what it looks like, a great job, there are obvious bruises surrounding it— of course there'd be. But you quickly pull the gown down and jolt up when you hear the door open. Your heart beats fast as you act like you weren't doing anything. The man that enters is clearly not the main one, as he doesn't have that circle symbol on his mask. He soon slips the mask off and asks, "Everything doing well?"
You nod. "Yeah..."
He places a scalpel down on a stand. "Because it seems like you care a lot about how they stitched you up."
You sit in confusion. Uhh... It was pretty random of him to say that, and weirdly enough it kind of worries you.
The man stares at you with the "are you going to say anything" face, and reaches for ANOTHER needle he finds in a basket below the stand. You furrow your brows and blink multiple times. "W-Why do I keep having to take these?"
The doctor flicks the needle. "Pain." He then, quite quickly, reaches for your arm, but you back away and stop him. You're eyes are wide. And so are his. He catches on, and tries again, this time more aggressively. You've had enough. You leap out of the hospital bed, but ultimately fall on your knees. You didn't think that this wound would impact so much on your balance. The fear takes over the pain when you see the man fast-walk over to you with the needle in hand. Your hands work fast as you try to back up, and you, at some point, try to crawl. You're heart skips a beat when you feel his hand on your ankle, dragging you back to where you first dropped. "No!" You scream out.
He flips you around. "You need this!" He aggressively tells you. Trying to kick doesn't work, because his grip is so tight, and the already pain in your leg doesn't help at ALL. The doctor raises his arm high as he's about to give you the shot. But suddenly, both of you turn your heads to the left when the windows burst open. The glass shoots everywhere, and in the shining, you can spot... Buddy? What?! He, very fast actually, skips to grab the scalpel off the stand and... well, you know what comes next. You back away as Buddy does his thing. The glass shards are now weirdly covered in blood, and you stare at Buddy with very wide eyes.
You're so speechless at this point, you're surprised you can actually get the words you want out. "B-Buddy, where'd you c-come from?" You're words are very breathy, too; still from the shock.
He looks up into your eyes. "A best buddy is always there..."
You glance over at the... body. You're whole insides are just going crazy. You've never been so nervous, shocked, painful, and worried all at the same time. You place your hand on your heart and close your eyes. "Y-You... saved me." With eyes still shut, the tears come trailing down your face. This whole situation could've been way worse if it weren't for Buddy. It's a lot to process.
Buddy walks over to you and gives you a warm hug. "I'm always here for you." You hug him back, but pull away when you hear a strange beeping sound. You can't make out where it's coming from directly, but you scan the room trying to detect where the noise is coming from. "What's that sound?" You ask Buddy while continuing to look around the room. But once again, you turn to the left when yet another window bursts. And this time, it's Chucky. You're quite surprised that he's still... alive? Man, these dolls can withstand anything, you think to yourself. Although he's 'alive,' he's not in the best shape. His face is still pretty damaged from that hit with the mallet, so much so that you can see bits of wire underneath the plastic 'skin.'
He looks down at the doctor's body. "I'm too late, aren't I?"
Buddy turns to look at him. "You sure are, partner." He walks over to Chucky, and the two high five. You don't know why, but you smile at it. There's about a two-second pause, and afterwards, you attempt to stand up. You plan to escape the hospital from out the window, and possibly catch up with Gabriel. But trying to walk does not end up well.
You grunt as you try to lift yourself up. You get mad at it all and curse, pretty loudly actually. "What did they do?" You keep trying, and n o t h i n g is working. You slam your fists on the floor and make a dent. The dolls notice the problem, though. Buddy tilts his head, and raises his finger.
"It was the shots, wasn't it?" He asks. Well, yeah; obviously, it was the shots. But they proceed to lift you up anyway. Guess you just have to resort to crawling. You sweetly make it out of the hospital through the shattered windows, with Buddy and Chucky by your side. They're like little bodyguards, you think to yourself. You smile about it, as you continue to crawl on the ground. But you stop. "Where are we going to go?" You ask the dolls. They look at each other.
"Do you want to go catch up with Gabriel, (Y/N)?" Buddy chimes in.
You nod. "Yeah, we should."Without questions, Buddy directs you to the police station... But you feel like you have to ask something. "I-Is he here?"
Buddy and Chucky both turn to you and nod. You blink in response. The dolls start to walk over to the entrance, but you stop them. "Wait." You stay still when you spot the same circle symbol that was in the hospital. It's seen at the peak of the roof, and inside the station, as well. You crawl over to the side so people won't be able to see you from the windows. The dolls follow. "What's wrong?" Chucky asks innocently.
You sigh. "We shouldn't go in there," you tell them. "Uh... I have this... feeling— about that symbol. It was in the hospital, and now it's on the police station."
The dolls stare, and Buddy finally responds, "You're right." He looks at the side of the building and back at you. "The cult's out to get ya."
