Author's Note: I decided to do this short in the world of Steampunk'd. This happens before the events of Steampunk'd!

 Steampunk'd!Wither's POV:

Work was over for the day.

The big people at the highest airship made this rule to keep people from over-exerting themselves. Well, they made that rule for the normal people in this society. I suppose I should call myself lucky that I can wear some bandages in order to appear human.

Other people don't have it so lucky.

I took off my bandages and allowed my eye to readjust to the light of the warehouse. The large fans carried the air flow as I formed a pair of bat-like wings. I flew up to the rafters that I called 'the hidey hole' and relaxed while waiting for the others to come 'home'.

The only two that I really refer to are Mighty and Fantasy. Aqua, my fellow hybrid and roommate, was restricted to being either on the roof of the warehouse or inside it. The siren came up the stairs and looked up towards the 'hidey hole'; I pulled back in order to hide.

The next thing I knew there was a large stream of water that struck the ceiling panels above me. I poked my head out of the hiding spot and waved. Aqua motioned for me to fly down, and she seemed unhappy with something. I normally don't like to deal with Aqua when she's unhappy, but I suppose I need to get her calmed down before Fantasy and Mighty get back.

" Hello Aqua..." I yawned as I flew down to the ground. Aqua crossed her arms and looked out the saturated windows of the warehouse. I let my wings go into my back as Aqua spoke, " I've heard voices in the back of my head again..." she frowned.

Mighty told me about Aqua's voices. The poor hybrid has anxiety attacks because of them. I still didn't know what they meant, but I guess I'll learn today.

" What were the voices saying?" I questioned as I looked at the juice bar owner. Aqua put her webbed hand onto the window as she stared out at the evolving industrial world below. We may tower over this place, but we're weak in our number of people. The only reason why we're up here in because of our status as Railers working under Mr. Xisuma. Well, we work under him, but Sir Warren is our true boss.

 " I want a revolution."

I looked over at her as she stared directly at me.

" Revolution?" I questioned as Aqua nodded. Aqua explained how she was sick of being treated like dirt. The siren was also angry about how the hunters were being mistreated by both man and hybrid.

Speaking of hybrids, Mighty entered the warehouse with Fantasy tailing behind her. Mighty's eyes were dead with heavy circles underneath them. The hybrid looked up at us and waved. I shouldn't describe what happened to the wolftiger, but I heard from Aqua that the higher ups cut the hybrid's leg off when she refused to turn a hybrid in.

" What are you two doing?" Mighty questioned as her metallic peg leg tapped on the floor. Aqua and I looked at each other. Neither of us spoke, but Fantasy looked at us with a knowing look. Mighty looked between the inventor and the two of us.

" Ya'll.... Ya'll are talking about re... ugh.... I can't even bloody say it without gettin' sick." Mighty's ears went down as she anxiously gripped at the collar around her neck. Mighty sat down on a box as Fantasy took the collar off.

I looked at Mighty's neck as the hybrid walked over to the stairs that led to the bar area.

 Brown and purple markings....
