Hanahaki- a disease born from one sided love where the infected coughs or throws up flower petals.

Henry woke with a piercing pain in his stomach, unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. He gasped in pain, clutching his side as he felt something rise in his throat. He pulled himself out of bed quickly, nearly tripping over his covers. He didn't have to worry about bothering Kwite, he was out somewhere. Again.

Henry reached their bathroom just in time, dropping to his knees and clutching the seat. He felt blood flow down his chin as he threw up into the bowl.

Green petals, brown thorns and red blood floated and mixed in the bowl. Henry's tears began to spill too, watching in dismay as the petals got more and more covered in blood.

He flushed the toilet, a sinking feeling still sitting in his stomach. A green petal had stuck in his hair, he saw it once he climbed into bed, and his eyes blurred up again.

Kwite didn't come home that night.

Henry wanted to call him, make sure he was okay. But he knew what the petals meant. Unrequited love. Kwite didn't care anymore. Henry spent the day wrapped in his covers, trying to distract himself from the flowers.

Kwite came home, he kisses Henry on the forehead the next night, explaining that he crashed at a friend's house. Henry nodded along, mind racing.

"Are you okay?" Kwite asked, sitting on the bed next to him, twirling a strand of Henry's hair in his fingers. The action that used to make Henry swoon, now made him feel sick again.

"I'm a bit sick." He replied monotonously, daring to glance at Kwite. His face was still kind, still caring. Not loving. Not anymore.

"Oh, do you want me to get you anything?" He offered, tearing Henry's heart again. He would've preferred if Kwite didn't pretend, if he was rude and mean then maybe Henry could find a reason to hate him but Kwite was still Kwite, still caring.

Henry felt the sharp pain in his side and sat up suddenly, placing a hand over his mouth as a green petal floated out. He bolted into the bathroom, releasing a mouthful of thorns and green petals into the toilet again. He sobbed, shoving his fist into his eye angrily. He could hear Kwite walking into the bathroom and he sobbed again, heart breaking into more and more pieces.

"Henry, ar-" he opened the door a bit.

"No! Don't come in!" The door didn't move. "Please." He sobbed out. Kwite rested his back against the other side of the door, waiting patiently. Henry leaned against the wall of the bathroom, pulling his knees to his chest. "Can you go get Ani?" Henry called out, voice hoarse.

Kwite felt offended, why wasn't he enough to go in there? None the less, he stood up, ignoring those feelings and found Ani. Recently, they had been staying under one roof, for about a month now.

"Hey, ani?" He knocked on her door.

"Yeah?" She called back. Kwite pushed the door open. She took her headphones off, spinning in her chair.

"Henry needs you. He's in the bathroom, he asked for you." Kwite's bottom lip quivered. He didn't ask for you he asked for her.

Ani quirked an eyebrow but still stood up, walking with Kwite to where Henry was. She opened the door slowly, sliding in. She didn't notice the thorns and petals that had fallen to the floor, instead she immediately sat in front of her friend, tapping his head. Henry looked up at her, blood dripping from his mouth.

"Holy shit! Henry? Are you alright?" She exclaimed.

"No." He croaked out, opening his mouth and letting the green petals fall out. Ani was stunned. "He doesn't love me anymore."

He fell forward into her, and she patted his head gently.

"I'm so sorry, Henry." A tear rolled down her cheek at her best friends broken heart. He sobbed into her shoulder, only moving back when another surge came on and green petals and brown thorns fell from his mouth. Eventually, it was too much and he slumped back from the toilet bowl, where Ani was rubbing his back and holding his hair, into the wall, his eyes rolled back and he passed out. Thorns and petals still were falling, sticking to his shirt and crawling from his mouth.

Ani sighed, standing up. She opened the door, Kwite jumped up quickly.

"What's up! Is he-" he stopped, throat closing up at Henry, laid slack against the wall. His eyes drifted to the petals, the thorns, the blood. They were green. His colour.

Henry always said that he looked so good in green.
