Growing Feelings

Karan entered the class and sat on last bench as usual with Yash and Shanaya.

Preeta entered the class and sat on first bench not giving a glance to anybody. She just opened her book and started reading.

Karan was just staring her. Her eyes lowered, her concentration was on her book while Karan's concentration was just on her.

He was smilingly admiring her.

Shanaya hit her shoulder with Yash.

Yash(whispering) : Kya h..

Shanaya signed him to look at Karan.

Yash saw Karan looking at Preeta. He giggled.

Yash (whispering) : Hamara cricketer clean bowled...

Shanaya: Puri tarah se...

Yash and Shanaya smiled.

Professor entered the class. Everyone stood up. The lecture started.

Preeta was listening attentively to professor.

Karan was still just looking at her.

Professor : Karan..

He was still smiling.

Professor(raising his voice) : Karan...

Karan came back to senses and stood up.

Karan: Yes sir..

Professor: What's the answer?

Karan (in mind) : Koi sawal pucha tha kya...

He looked at Yash and Shanaya who saw him and nodded.

Professor : Get out....

Karan: I am sorry sir..

Preeta turned to look whom professor was shouting at. She saw him. Karan smiled seeing her looking. She made a confused face.

Professor: Get out Karan...

Karan went out of class.

Preeta again started concentrating on lecture.

Karan looked at her from the window and smiled.

It started raining.

Karan smiled and went out.

He forwarded his hand and felt the raindrops.

He closed his eyes and remembered her smiling drunk face when they met first.

He moved out and started drenching.

Karan smiled.

The class got over. Students started coming out. Somebody was smilingly looking at him from behind the pillar.

Karan saw her.

Karan: Monisha...

Monisha : Ha Karan...

Karan : Tum bheeg jaogi.. Use my umbrella.. Main vse bhi bheeg chuka hu...

Monisha: Iski koi zarurat...

Karan : Tumhari books bhi kharab ho jayegi... Ruko...

He went towards his bag and gave her the umbrella.

Karan: Lo...

Monisha smiled and took the umbrella.

Monisha: Thank u so much...

Karan : No problem...

Monisha left. Karan again smiled remembering Preeta.

Preeta came out and moved towards her car.

Karan saw her and followed to start interaction but she left.

Karan(sighing) : Shit yaar...

Yash kept his hand on his shoulder.

Yash(teasing) : Koi bheega hua h...

Shanaya(teasing) : Akele ya kisi ke saath...

Karan: Chup kro dono... Vo toh mujhe dekhle toh bhi meherbani ho jaye... Saath bheegne ki baat krte ho... Baat bhi nhi kr paaya...

Shanaya: Jyada hi pasand nhi aagyi bhai... Bhabhi h kya meri....

Karan glared her.

Karan: Shanaya... Teri toh.. Bhai ki taang kheechti h...

He hit her head.

Shanaya: Acha.. Maaf krdo...

Yash : Par cricketer sahab.. Yeh sb chl kya rha h..

Karan: Pata nhi...

He moved towards his car.

Yash and Shanaya looked at each other.

Yash and Shanaya(shouting) : Aisi chale jab hawa... Ishq hua hi hua..

Karan turned and glared them.

Yash : Ghurne se kuch nhi hoga..

Shanaya: Pyaar aise hi hota h bhai.. Kuch pta nhi chlta..

Karan: Tum dono pitna chahte ho mujhse...

Yash and Shanaya nodded.

Karan(showing them hand) : Ruko..

Both ran away.

Karan smiled and drove to his mansion.

He entered.

Girish: Karan sir aapka khana...

Karan: Koi zarurat nhi h girish...Akele khane ka mann nhi krta..

Girish: Par sir..

Karan went upstairs. He changed and saw the photograph of his parents.

Karan(smilingly) : I miss u mom dad... I miss u...

Karan: Aapko pta h Shanaya aur yash pagal hogye h.. Kh rhe the mujhe uss ladki se pyaar.. Par aap toh sb jaante h.. Meri kismat mein kaha kisi ka pyaar h... Aap dono ka bhi nhi tha.. Kisi ka bhi nhi h...

He lightened the diya in front of their photo and went to kitchen.

He took a bowl of icecream and sat on his bed eating it exploring his phone.

He saw her photo and smiled.

Karan(smilingly) : This girl...

Karan smiled remembering how he took her photo through window of class.

Karan(smilingly) : Kya feel kr rha hu main.... Bas ek alag si khushi h.. Tumhe dekh kar..

He was admiring her photo and eventually fell asleep.
