"It's going to be a boy." Anna said while holding my belly which had swelled with child.
"How do you know?" I asked her with a grin.
"A very strong kick and a familiar feeling that I got when you were with child and Eric had been born. He will be a good brother." She grinned back and rubbed my shoulder affectionately.
"I can't wait to tell Andrei." I smiled and with her help, I got to my feet.
"Well, you won't have to wait long. They've come home." She told me and we both looked to the door where our husbands stood smiling.
"There's my wife." He said loudly and swooped in for a kiss.
"Husband..." I greeted and took his hand as he led me back to our cottage.
"Well..." he asked as he kneeled down and kissed my belly.
"A boy," I told him to which he replied with a wide grin and he shot up and kissed me again.
"I knew it! A strong hunter." He said with pride.
"Maybe even a blacksmith, or a scholar or even a healer," I told him while returning his smile.
"Maybe...why don't you go prepare for the festival? I'll get Eric." He smiled and I knew something was up. He had this mischief filled smile that I knew all too well.
"What are you up too?" I asked him.
"Nothing, now be gone, woman." He said playfully, he was definitely up to something, that much was clear.
...
"There you are," I exclaimed as I went into the room where Andrei and Eric awaited.
"There you are," Andrei said with a wide smile as he kissed me softly.
"Beautiful..." he grinned while Eric hugged my leg.
"Mama is pretty." He hummed and gently touched my belly. He was always so gentle when it came to the baby. He would make a very big brother.
"Thank you, my love," I said and caressed his head.
