Chapter 16|Sisterhood

Once I let Rookie and Heather in my room, I was introduced to Heather.

"You know I always wondered what you would look like as a human." Heather said.

"Really I thought you only saw the horse in me." I replied.

"Please you had a personality like no horse I've ever seen."

I just nodded and looked at my feet. I sat on my bed and said "So how'd you get here?"

"What do you mean?" Rookie asked.

"Well obviously you didn't run from Pennsylvania to New Jersey." I replied with a duh tone.

"First we took a bus across the states, then we stopped at a hotel for the night, then we got to a diner where we met a perky waitress named Sunny...oh no Sunny!" Rookie explained

"Who's Sunny?" I questioned but they were already at my bedroom door. "Wait! You can't just go out there this place has tons of security."

"What are we supposed to do then? We can't exactly go back the way we came." Heather said.

"Or can we?" Rookie said with a glimmer in his eye.

"What's your plan?" I asked getting excited.

"I don't know I just wanted to say that." I just gave him that 'really?' look.

"OK so how about I go down and get Sunny saying that she's a friend from Pennsylvania or something?" I suggested. Heather and Rookie both agreed and I slowly stepped out of my room.

I tip toed down the hall and was careful not to step on creaky boards. I checked around corners like I was going to get in trouble if I was caught. I realized just as I was opening the door that maybe I should ask my dad before bringing a stranger in but then I just pushed that thought away. I opened the door and stepped outside into the frigid air. I looked around at the massive green yard that was perfectly trimmed and almost fairy tale-like. I scurried down the path to the gate and it opened automatically when it sensed me. I looked down to my right and saw a car I assumed was Sunnys.

I walked over to the car and knocked on the window. I could see sunny get startled by my presence but she opened her door anyway.

"Hi, I'm Dana-" I was cut off by her jumping out of her car and hugging me.

"I've heard so much about you." she mumbled into my shoulder.

"Ok well I'm here to take you inside so that we can meet properly." I said starting to get cold. Sunny nodded and followed me up to the gate. I stood there like an idiot for a second before I realized it was'nt going to open.

"New plan." I said going towards the direction of my room. When we got there I realized that there was no way to get over that wall without shifting. I couldn't go like 'Hey have my friends told you that I'm a mythical creature who can change my form yet?' so I had to guess the odds and decided to shift.

"I hope they told you." I mumbled under my breath. "Stay calm ok?" I said

"OK?" Sunny said confused.

I took a deep breath and thought of an elephant. I felt my bones take on their new shape and got the same dizziness as usual when I havn't morphed in a while. I looked over at Sunny and she was standing there in awe.

I gave her a reassuring look with my big beady eyes. I levitated my trunk in her direction and wrapped it around her waist. I carefully placed her on the other side of the wall. After she was safe I shifted into a hawk and soared over the wall andfor a fleeting second everything seemed normal again. It felt like my mom was alive, and I was home. When I finally brought my head out of the clouds, I dropped to the ground and was human again.

"Lets go." I said sprinting toward my room.

We climed up to my room even though it was really hard we got some help from Rookie and Heather.

"What was that? Can all of you do that? What? How?" Sunny said.

"I'm a shapeshifter and I can change into anything living but Rookie can only change into a horse. Heather is just human." I explained.

We all sat on my bed and watched T.V. for a little bit.

"So there is one question you havn't answered yet." I said. "What are you doing here? I mean its not like I don't want to see you but I'm curious."

Heather and Rookie exchanged looks then Rookie started. "Well we came to save you from your kidnapper but it seems youlike it here so.."

"Trust me its ok here but I liked it in Pennsylvania too." I said.

It was silent for a while before Sunny inturrupted the silence "Well do all your parents now where you are because I kinda don't want to go to jail for kidnapping."

"My parents are horses" Rookie said. "Heather?" Heather looked scared, no terrified.

"I was so caught up in what Rookie was saying that I forgot to tell my parents where I was going." Heather put her face in her hands. "How will I explain this? Ya mom I had to go save my two shape shifting horses from New Jersey!"

"It's ok Heather, we'll figure it out. I'm sure my dad has some kind of explanation or mind erasing spell or something." apparently that didn't help because she burst into tears.

"I'll be right back." I said quickly giving Heather a pat on the back. I ran out of the door going to the left. I soon realized I had no idea where my dad was. I sat discouraged on one of the massive marble staircases. and looked up at one of the huge crystal chandeliers.

"Dana?" I heard a voice behind me.

"Dad." I replied still leaning against the railing of the staircase.

"I have someone I'd like you to meet." my dad gestured to the top of the staircase. I followed not knowing what would happen if I did'nt. I quickly decided that maybe I should question who I was about to meet..

"Who is it?" I asked.

"You'll see." my dad said with a huge grin plastered on his face.

After walking down long halls with huge, old, paintings we stopped in front of a large oak door that read "Da Boss". My dad took a deep breath and turned the dooknob. The door swung open and standing in the middle of the room was the brown haired, brown eyed girl that was Maria.

"Dana, meet your sister, Maria." my dad said smiling.

Hello! You've probably noticed the change of the cover. Do you like it? I'm doing good, how are you? We recently moved so ya that took a while, how long has it been since last update? Two, three months I'm sorry. I also deleted all my A/N's because they were out of date.

Also how about that plot twist/cliff hanger how do you think Heather will react? Ooooo now I'm excited for next update! Anyway I hoped you enjoyed I decided to make a 1000 word goal for my chapters so that they will all be decently long. That's all I have to say so bye!
