It was in the great hall when everything happened. Dumbledore announced the yule bule.

Seamus sighed and Dean laughed. "Alright there Seamus?" He asked.

"Yeah, I was just wondering about asking Hermione to the Yule ball."

"Ask her. I think i'll go with Hanna." Dean told his friend.

Seamus walked up to Hermione , who was sitting with Harry, Ron and Ginny. "Hermione, can I ask you something?" She turned to look at him with curious eyes.

"You just did but you can ask another." She joked.

He laughed slightly and then came out with it. "Will you go to the ball with me?" He was nervous as she waited a minute to answer him.

"Yeah, I would love to." Ron narrowed his eyes at the pair.

As Seamus asked Hermione, Dean asked Hanna, who answered "Yes!" Those who were muggle raised asked thoses who were also muggle raised, except Harry as he asked Ginny. Dean walked back to Seamus and the muggle raised boys came up to them as the girls stood with Hermione.

"I got to go practice some quidditch." Dean muttered.

Seamus put his hands on Dean shoulders and said "You nailed it, man!" Music started playing thanks to a charm cast by Dumbledore. Just kidding, it was Flitwick.

Seamus: Guess now it's official
Dean: Can't back out, can't back out, no
Girls: Getting ready for the night of nights

Everyone else looked at the students singing in confusion. "What is Hermione doing?!" Ron asked but only recieved shrugs in reply.

Seamus: Don't panic
Dean: Panic

Muggle raised boys:
Now do we have to dress up for the ball?
Dude, I don't think we have the choice

Muggle raised girls:
Yeah it's the night of all nights
Gotta look just right
Dressing to impress the boys

Students stared at them as if they were crazy as the girls each had a dress in their hands.

Boys:
Do I want classic or vintage or plaid?
Where's the mirror?
Dean- I think this tux is too baggy
Seamus- Too tight, it makes me look weird

People laughed at the boys as their uniforms changed into weird tuxes.

Girls:
Hermione- Should I go movie star glamorous
Sassy or sweet?
Don't know, but no one better wear the same dress as me

The girls shuddered at the thought of someone wearing the same dress as someone else.

The singers moved around at the expanded great hall so everyone could see them dance.

Everyone muggle raised:
Boys- It's the night of our nightmares
Girls- It's the night of our dreams
Boys- It's too late to back out of it
Girls- Hey, makeovers, massages
Boys- Don't know what a corsage is
Girls- Been waiting all our lives for this

Cardboard houses appeared as the two students walked to the side. The boys were in front two student behind each door and the girls were on a ladder so they were at the window at the top.

Everyone M R
Boys- Her mother opens the door, I'm shakin' inside
Girls- He's here, it's time, the hours arrived
Boys- Don't know why her father's staring me down
Girls- Where's my purse? Lip gloss?
Now I'm really freaking out
Boys- Then something changes my world

Everyone was in awe at the dresses the girls were wearing. Most of them were staring at Hermione as she looked different in a short, flowy, white dress. (Gabriella's dress.)

The M R's bowed to their audience as a signal that they finished. The great hall was filled with the sounds of claps, whistles and cheers. Flitwick came up to the group and faced the audience. "You have all just witnessed the Hogwarts Drama group. There will be a school play at christmas and at the end of the year. Mr' Thomas and Finnigan along with Miss' Granger and Abott came up with the idea and I have made them the stars in every play. It is very creative as you can see. But no one else can join as we are full. It is for muggle raised only and for the people who would take this seriously."

Seamus took a hold of Hermione's hand and brought her closer to him. She looked at him in confusion before he kissed her cheek. Dean almost did the same with Hanna, but instead of the cheek, it was the lips. Ron looked dangerously at the irish boy and Hermione before, both, Harry and Ginny hit him. He glared at them before giving in, he should be happy for her.

Seamus got a box out of his pocket and pulled the necklace out of it. He told Hermione to close her eyes before he did this and place the necklace around her neck. She opened her eyes and looked at the jewellery, it had a red and gold coloured 'S'.

"S as in Seamus?" She giggled.

"Well... Yeah." He laughed slightly and then smiled widely as he saw the adored look on his girlfriends face.
