I'm listening to this song since a few days on repeat and I can't get it outta my head, so I decided to write about it lol.

The song Living In Sin takes part on the Bon Jovi album New Jersey, which was recorded 1988 and published in 1989.

Living In Sin was the fifth single from New Jersey, which made it possible for the band to keep the record for the most songs of a Hardrock album to reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The song has a slow beat and a very strong bass rythm, which is played by Alec. The song discusses the releationship and together living of two people. Finally it shows that their love is stronger than everything else, no matter what the others say; „I call it love, they call it living in sin."

During some live performances, the band often played a short version of Chapel of love at the end of the song.

The music video to Living In Sin was filmed overall in black and white, just as Born To Be My Baby.

The most part of the music video concentrates on a young couple and their fight to keep up their love; next to it the band is performing the song. The parents of the girl are strict catholic, that's why she gets in troubles while meeting the boy. Finally at the end of the video, the girl decided to run away from home and live together with her boyfriend.

Lyrics:

I don't need no license
To sign on no line
And I don't need no preacher
To tell me you're mine
I don't need no diamonds
I don't need no new bride
I just need you, baby
To look me in the eye
I know they have a hard time
And your Daddy don't approve
But I don't need you Daddy
Telling us what we should do
Now there's a million questions
I could ask about our lives
But I only need one answer
To get me thought the night
So, I say
Baby, can you tell me
Just where we fit in
I call it love
They call it living in sin
Is it you and me
Or just this world we live in
I say we're living on love
They say we're living in sin
Is it right for both our parents
Who fight it out most nights
Then pray for God's forgiveness
When they both turn out the lights
Or wear that ring of diamonds
When you heart is made of stone
You can talk but still say nothing
You stay together but alone
Or is it right to hold you
And kiss your lips goodnight
They say the promise is forever
If you sign it on the dotted line
Oh baby, can you tell me
Just where we fit in
I call it love
They call it living in sin
Is it you and me or
Just this world we live in
I say we're living on love
They say we're living in sin
Baby, can you tell me
Just where we fit in
I call it love
They call it living in sin
Is it you and me or
Just this world we live in
I call it love
They call it living in sin
I don't know where to begin
I don't know where we fit in
Living in sin
