"I want to thank everyone for coming to the baby shower today." Ryan says as he looks around and I smile as I feel the baby move in my tummy.

"I want to thank my wonderful Fiancé for going through so much and carrying our baby through all this." He says as he wipes away tears.

I see Dad and Avril there and Avril looks pissed. Oh well, she better not start shit.

We start to open up some gifts, and I see the first gift is the gender announcement one.

"So, I know that everyone has been patiently, or impatiently, waiting to know the gender of the baby. I am happy to announce that it's a baby girl!" I say as I hold up the pink onesie and everyone but Avril cheers.

I get a fuck ton of diapers and wipes, three of the same exact outfit, pacifiers galore, and several toys for the baby. I also get a car seat and stroller set.

As we are wrapping everything up, Ryan and Dad taking everything to the nursery as I put the leftover snacks and cakes away.

I feel another Braxton hicks contraction come and I groan as I move my legs again.

"Easy baby girl." I mumble as I get the cake in the fridge as Avril comes into the kitchen.

"So you're having a girl?" She asks and I sigh.

"Yeah. I can't wait for her to be here." I say and she scoffs.

"She better not wind up dating Daniel." Avril mumbles and I groan.

"Get off your high horse Avril. I mean for fucks sake, Dad is almost ten years your senior!" I say as I lean against the counter, twinges of pain coming. I get my cell out and start a timer in case these are true contractions.

"So what? At least he isn't my fathers age." She says and I feel another contraction come and look at my phone to see their six minutes apart. These are true contractions.

"Listen I don't have time for your petty shit right now, I need to get to the hospital. I'm having contractions every six minutes." I say as I waddle to the kitchen, only for my water to break on the way.

"Ryan!" I call out as I feel another pain hit. Dad and Ryan both come downstairs and i look at Ryan.

"My water just broke." I say as he runs back upstairs to grab the diaper bag and Dad helps me sit down.

"It's gonna be okay honey. Just breathe." Dad says and I groan as my back starts to hurt.

Ryan comes back down with everything, including the car seat. We both get to the car and Ryan speeds to the hospital.

"Oh fuck!" I cry out as I feel another pain hit me and Ryan grabs my hand.

"I'm right here baby. Just hold on. We're almost there." Ryan says as we break the speed limit.

I feel a burning pain in my vagina and stick my free hand in my panties, only to feel the head.

"She's coming out now! Ow!" I scream as Ryan pulls into the Emergency Room parking lot and runs into the hospital, coming back out with several nurses and a doctor, as well as a stretcher.

"Okay, she's crowning. Call Dr. Colton and get NICU down here now!" She says as she cuts my panties off and looks at me.

"Okay, Josephine, when I tell you, push as hard as you can." She says and I nod as I lay back on the center console of the car.

"Push!" She says and I bear down as hard as I can and feel the rest of my daughter come out in a rush and gasp out as her shrill cries fill the air.

"It's a beautiful little girl. She's got a strong set of lungs on her that's for sure, but NICU will be taking her to be sure she's okay, alright?" The doctor says as the nurses get me on the stretcher and Ryan actually parks the car.

I'm taken to the maternity ward of the hosptial and Ryan soon joins me as we anxiously await news on our daughter.

Soon a nurse wheels in a bassinet with our baby girl in it and I smile as she puts the tiny little girl in my arms.

"She's 100% healthy. Her lungs are strong and she's able to eat. She is a very hungry little girl." The nurse says as I see her beautiful brown eyes and smile as I kiss her face gently.

"I love you Chelsie Noelle." I whisper as Ryan and I awe over our daughter.
