"Name?" the teacher asked. She had long dark hair, a bright purple dress, black cat-eye glasses, and dark black butterfly wings. It turned out she was a fairy. Should have guessed by the name, but I digress. I gave her my name, and she made a mark on her clipboard.

"Right, follow me."

She snapped her fingers, and a portal appeared. We stepped through it into a rather different environment. A small room painted a rather dull beige. There was a table with different crystals. I was asked to touch each crystal. Some glowed when I touched them, others flashed, some did nothing. One of them exploded.

"Right. Definitely not sun..." Mrs. Nightheart muttered, making yet another mark on her clipboard.

"Alright, that about does it. Thank you for your time. You'll be sent a letter letting you know your results."

"Wait, that's it?"

"It's a simple process, streamlined over the years to maximize efficiency. Now shoo!" She waved her hand. Another portal appeared. Not knowing what else to do, I went through that one.

Instead of the earlier classroom, I found myself in a modern-day cafeteria. Food was cooked and set out for people to serve themselves. It was relatively normal, except for the fact it was serving various interesting looking meals. Giant roasted birds, bright blue salad, glowing fruit, black mystery soup. you name it. If was edible, it was there. I think I saw a marching band made of chocolate, and it was fully animated, marching around its table. There was also some regular pizza, but that was an unpopular choice. The room was loud and chaotic, as to be expected. I wasn't actually that hungry, so I scanned around the room in search of a familiar face. Having no such luck, I looked for a door similar to the one that led to my dorm room earlier.
