*Georgie's POV*
February 2013
I was now starting high school, it was a scary but exciting time for me as I was starting to get serious

Jayden and I still talked but not as much as we used to.

We went out on the fence about 3 times a week because he was getting serious with his basketball commitments.

One day we were out there.
"Hey Jayden" I lifted up my head to face him already on the fence

"Oh hey Georgie" he said happily as I got the bin to get up on the fence.

"How's things been" I asked him looking puzzled as he looked down at his hands

"I'm kinda upset actually" his voice softened, I had never seen him like this.

"What's up? You can talk to me you know that" I questioned what he was thinking.

"I like this girl right and I don't know what to do about it, I don't think she likes me back" my heart skipped a beat in the hope he was talking about me

"Tell me who is this girl, come on I wanna know everything" I hyped up hoping he would say it's me and it's been me all along.

"Her name is Abigail..." my heart sank, he kept rambling on about her but I couldn't help but think why would he ever think to like someone like me.

We finished our conversations as it was time for tea. We said our goodbyes and went inside.

I was beyond upset and just kept thinking of them together.

=============

The next day I went over and knocked on his door.

His mum sally answered the door. "Georgie darling how are you?" She expressed her love pulling me into a hug.

"Are the boys home, would they like to come out and play?" I asked very politely. We always went over to each others doors. Me more than him sometimes.

"Lance is actually out but Jayden's home I'll ask him to come out" she said as she turned around to see where he was

He came out to greet me. "Hey Georgie"

"Hey" I excitedly said back. I always felt good inside whenever I was around him. A feeling I never could describe.

"Do you want to go for a ride and sit at the corner for a while"

The corner was our spot. We live on a hill and at the very peak of the hill at the end of our street there was a big hill of grass.

You could see everything from up there and it was where we always went.

"Yeah sure sounds like a good idea" he says as he opens the door to his garage.

We get our bikes out, ride around the block and up to our spot.

We decided to sit on our bikes for a while together. It was just on dusk, all the town lights were on, you could see all the lights from the shopping centre all the way up the highway.

I stared into all the lights glancing over at him every chance I could without him noticing. I was really infatuated with everything about him.

I study his features every time I look, from his face, perfectly carved with beautiful eyes and killer smile.

Up to his hair that has grown a bit longer since we met, messy but still looks so hot at the same time.

In this moment I just wanted to hold his hand and told him I loved him and hoping he loved me to.

"The lights are so pretty" I said while staring at the lights in awe, hoping he was looking at me.

"Yeah they are, aren't they" he replied.

In my head I was hoping he would of replied with "not as pretty as you" or some romantic line like that but it never happened.

He looks at me "we should head back, it's getting dark" he says and grasps the handlebars of his bike.

"I'll race you, I'm gonna be faster" I shout as I speed off getting a head start

He starts to laugh and follow me trying to catch up.

We race each other back to our houses. Said goodbye as I felt on top of the world from the way he made me feel.

Little did I know the next few years puberty happened and my feelings grew stronger.
