Chapter 3

December 2016

I had grown a bit older and now just finished year 10. I was about to start my last years as a high school student.

It was a bit surreal how time flies. Jayden and I had seen each other off and on this year. Mainly from when I had convinced mum to invite the whole family over to give me an excuse to see him.

One night I went over to hang out. I knocked in the door. Jayden answers.

"Hey Jayden, just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out" I said I couldn't help but look at him, all his features.

Puberty hit him like a truck, muscles, abs, jaw line. Everything happened and he looked even hotter then before.

He invited me in where he suggested we watched a movie.

He already had the fast and the furious on. He was the only one home.

We started watching the movie I sat next to him, purposely super close hoping he would brush his hand up against my leg.

He did a couple of times accidentally and my whole body froze still. Every touch of his was like magic that took over my entire body

The movie had come to an end and he asked if I wanted to chill in his room.

We were sitting there awkward as hell, when he grabbed his soft basketball and start shooting it at his little basketball hoop he had behind his door.

"Can I have a shot" I look over to him as I ask.

"Yeah whatever, you will never be as good as me though" he laughed with a massive grin on his face

"You wanna bet" I forced the ball out of his hands laughing and took a shot for goal.

"Yessss swishhhhh and that's how you do it my friend" I said as I caught the ball again.

All of a sudden he wraps his arms around me trying to get the ball as we both fall onto the bed laughing.

At that moment the world stopped he had his arms wrapped around me still and not suddenly letting go. I turned around to look at him

Our eyes locked, man I felt numb all over with his touch. Our faces were that close and I was wishing he could kiss me in that moment.

"Jayden" I whisper

I don't know what I was thinking but I thought it was time to confess my crush to him.

"I like you, like love you, I have for a while I didn't know how to tell you" I say softly not knowing how he was going to react

He just loosens himself from me and sits up. A couple of minutes later, he looks up at me and stands up.

"I'm sorry" he says softly as he walks out of the room.

I sat there frozen not knowing what to do. I was broken.
