Chapter 4

December 2016 continued

*Georgie POV*
A few days passed after I told Jayden I loved him, I haven't spoken to him since. Every time I pick up my phone I want to call him or text him. Thoughts circle in my mind 'What if he doesn't like me anymore even as a friend . What if I blew it, Georgie how could you be so stupid into thinking he was going to say I love you back.'

"Georgie" I came back to reality as mum called out my name "Come greet our guests please" our family friends were coming over tonight for a BBQ. "Coming" I shout out as I frantically change into a white crop top and some shorts.

After greeting our family friends we all went outside to check on dad as he fired up the BBQ for dinner.

I look over at the trees that line the fence of Jayden's backyard, I could hear music blaring and loud voices coming from his house and backyard. He was having his birthday party since his birthday is at the start of December.

'He didn't even invite me' I thought to myself as I moped over to get a basketball. I started shooting some hoops in the ring.

All of a sudden I hear whispers "pist over here" I look up to see two heads peering over the fence.

"Hello" I say with a confused look on my face as I walked over.

"You're Georgie right?" The girl looks at me and asks.

I reply "yeah". Before I could say anything else Zac opened his mouth "were having a party come over".

This is the first time I met Zac, Jayden's best friend, he was kind from first impressions. The girl you're wondering that's Sarah one of their girls as friends.

"I shouldn't guys I wasn't invited" I politely decline as I shake my hands. Secretly of course I wanted to go over there, I wanted to see Jayden of course I wanted to.

"Sure you are, well you are now" Zac trying to convince me with his words.

"Does Jayden want me over? I don't want to intrude" as soon as I could get an answer, they were both gone to ask him.

After about 5 minutes Zac popped up at the fence again. "He said it's all good come over" Zac boasted to me " we will meet you at the door" Sarah said cheerfully to me as they got off the fence and went to enjoy the party.

I jump up and down with excitement as I run to ask mum if I could go over.

I go inside to put my makeup on, I was over the moon.

Little did I know he never wanted me there.
