The glistening sun danced in through the gap in the pale curtain, falling directly upon a blonde mage's face, prying her eyes open. She rubbed her brown eyes with the back of her hand, then sat up, stretching her slender arms, letting out a long yawn. Despite it being January, Lucy felt an unusual warmth for a winter morning.
...Warmth...
With that she came to an instant conclusion. Inhaling deeply, she peered over her right shoulder and sure enough noticed the pink tufts of hair sprouting out the top of the duvet. Without hesitation, the blonde yanked the covers off her best friend, hearing him groan in annoyance.
"Natsu, get out of my bed," she said seriously, gently slapping his cheek, although she giggled slightly at the cute face he made when he felt her soft skin against his face. Slowly, his eyes opened and he gazed at his best friend.
"Mornin' Luce," he beamed as he too sat up and rubbed his eyes.
Lucy already had a slight grin on her face so she didn't bother trying to sound mad that Natsu was in her bed, yet again. Instead she smiled warmly at the dragon slayer. "Morning Natsu."
His face suddenly changed to a confused expression. "Areh?"
"What's wrong?"
"This is the first time you haven't yelled at me for sleeping with you."
A large blush crept onto her cheeks. "B-baka, don't word it like that. I'm kinda used to it now, you're here almost every other night." She tried to climb over his legs, but he pulled her back into a tight embrace. "N-natsu, what are you doing?"
"They liiiiike each other," purred the familiar voice of Natsu's blue feline.
She turned to find Happy sitting at the end of her bed with a mysterious smile on his face. "Shut it, stupid cat," she yelled, throwing a pillow at the exceed.
"Aye..."
"Aww, Luce you've gone red."
"Shh, Natsu," she hushed as she got up and made her way to the kitchen and dried two cups from the draining board. "Do you want a coffee Natsu?" she asked, flicking the switch on the kettle.
"Yes please, Luce!" he smiled, pulling on his black shirt, untying his scarf from round his waist and securing it around his neck.
The blonde mage set two mugs of freshly brewed coffee on the table, along with a glass of milk for Happy.
At that moment, the pinkette came bounding in the room at the smell of the hot beverage, followed by his winged friend, "Hey, Luce, lets go on a job today."
"Calm down you two," she sighed, passing him his coffee. "But sure why not?"
"Awesome!" he cheered, chugging down the hot fluid.

"Be careful up there Luce."
The pair were on their way to the guild, and Lucy was walking along the wall beside the canal; Natsu and Happy next to her. "Don't worry, I do this all the time." She smiled at him, but jinxed her words when she tripped and wobbled, regaining her balance soon after.
"Sure," smirked Natsu, holding her hand to make sure that she didn't fall.
'Kyaaa, he's holding my hand,' thought Lucy happily. 'Why doesn't he do this all the time?' Her cheeks went rosy when she realised what she was thinking.
"Lucy~you're blushing," teased Natsu's blue cat.
"Urasai!"
They were approaching the guild so Lucy quickly let go of his hand, though she wished she could hold it forever but she new what her friends would think, jupped of the wall and ran towards Fairy Tail, her partners just behind.
