" Chloe! Chloe! Honey wake up!" my mom shouted in tears.
I opened my eyes and saw everyone crowding around me. I looked around and I couldn't find Chris. I quickly sat up, that's probably the last time I'll ever do that. I grabbed the bucket as soon as I could and vomited. CANCER SUCKS!
I looked over at my mom, and she went to get the doctor. When he got into the room he smiled at me, then sat down at the end of my bed.
" I have the results of which cancer you have. We found two types of cancers. Retinoblastoma is one of the cancers. This cancer is a cancer that most people under the age of five get, but it is very possible for anyone at any age to be diagnosed with it. the second cancer type is leukemia. Leukemia is a blood cancer which is also found common in children of any age. do you have any questions for me at all?"
We all shook our heads no.
"Alright then. Treatment will start tomorrow," and then the doctor walked out.
I heard someone open up the door. I figured it was the doctor, so I just went under my covers in the bed.
" Oh you're going to play that game huh Chloe?" a familiar voice said.
It was Chris. I looked at home and smiled. He was mouthing something to my parents but I didn't care. I was glad to be with my boyfriend. My parents told me they were going to the food court and they would be back soon.
"Chloe."
"Yes Chris?"
" I think we need to take a break."
"Why?" I asked, my eyes streaming tears.
"This, this is all to much for me," he said avoiding eye contact.
I couldn't even look at him anymore.
"Too much for you Chris? Really? Who's the one dying of cancer? Who is the one stuck in the hospital for at least the next 6 months? Me Chris! Me!" I shouted at him.
" I can't stand to see someone I love in so much pain and suffering. I can't look at you as my dying girlfriend, I look at you as my beautiful girlfriend. But I'm not going to watch you die, and be the one to feel the most pain of all, Chloe."
He had tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Well then go. I never want to see you again. If I do die, I want you to feel the most pain. I want you to be guilty of all the pain everyone has. I hate you Chris! I truly hate you!" I could see hurt in his eyes after I said that, but I didn't care about him anymore.
"Alright, I guess I'll go home then," he said still crying.
I hope I never see him again.
