I woke up to the bed being cold and empty. Mom has gotten up early and went to work already. I throw the covers off of me and made my way to the bathroom. While I was brushing my teeth, moms' words kept repeating in my head. "Yeah I know you won't, but you need to build a relationship."

"You need to build relationships" I mimicked my mom, "that is the most bullshit thing I have heard her say."

I quickly got ready and ran outside, "hello buddy." I heard someone say behind me, making me startled.

"For fucks sakes, Isaiah, don't do that and don't ever call me your buddy." I turned to glare at him while he just caught up with me and walked right beside me.

"Ah don't be so sour." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulders so casually.

"Then don't talk to me." I walked faster trying to get away from him but was proven useless. My speed walking easily equaled up to his long strides.

"Come on Mark how about you just try this friendship thing once. Once and I will not bother you. If you even want that in the end?" Isaiah tried to make a deal.

I stopped in my steps making Isaiah step on the back of my shoes. I glared up at him which wasn't really working outside of the huge size difference and vibrant smile.

I sighed and sharply pocked his chest, "deal" and walked off. To satisfy my stupid guidance counselor and mom I will play their game. But it will be me who is right not them.

Isaiah walked one step behind me as I tried to ignore his annoying presence. His lingering shadow over me all the way through the blocks, the school's front stairs, and even to my first-period class. He had just walked me all the way to my class from my house.

"Um ok, you can go now," I said trying to push him away

He looked down at me and smiled, "Ok bye mark."

"Don't say my name," I said as we both started walking away from each other.

"Ok, buddy." I rolled my eyes but ignored it because I didn't want the conversation to continue.

I sat down in the class trying to focus on the lesson and get my much-needed peace and quiet. Or at least some cause these idiots just want to talk and talk during the dumb lessons. But my so-called peace and quiet were interrupted right in the middle of it, in the corner of my eyes I saw Isaiah again.

He was jumping and wildly waving his arms, at first, I thought he was trying to get his friends attention. So, like any person I ignored.

"Um Mark"

"Yeah," I said not looking up.

"Is the boy outside calling you?"

"No, teacher he is trying to get someone else's attention." I brushed it off and continued in my fake dreamland of peacefulness.

"Mark"

I ignored. "Mark"

"What" I looked up at the teacher and saw him point at the door. Isaiah excitedly cheered as he pointed directly at me. I shook my head and crossed my arms to make an "x". He glared at me and curved his fingers for me to come to him.

I groaned and slammed my book shut and stomped my way to the door not before telling the teacher "I'll be back"

I opened the door and once I closed it Isaiah grabbed my wrist and pulled me from the room.

"What is wrong with you?" I semi-yelled at him while hitting the side of his arm the hardest I can.

He held that area but instead of saying ow or something along those lines he laughed, "Nothing, I am perfectly normal, but I have to tell you something really important."
