48 hours before the exams, Eijirou, Mina, and Izuku were preparing.
"Okay, Midori, we need your help. What do we do?" Mina pleaded, clapping her hands together.
Izuku who was staring at the layout of the mock city with Apex activated.
"Well, looking at this layout, we can assume that there will be some sort of obstacles to overcome. Depending on what those obstacles are, we can rack up points. Now, on that matter, we have to take into consideration that this is a hero school. There will definitely be some sort of test that is intended for the students. All calculations are 99% success rate, and... Yeah... that should be about it."
Izuku finishes, deactivating his quirk.
Izuku looks up at Mina, and then Eijirou.
"You two knuckleheads got this."
Izuku finally speaks, after about 10 seconds of silence.
Mina tackles him and grabs his head, giving him a noogie.
"Who are you calling knucklehead, huh?!!?"
"Ow ow ow ow! Mina! Shit!" Izuku exclaims, flailing his arms around.
John comes in, eating a sandwich.
He looks at the ground, where Mina has Izuku in a pin.
"Really? I've trained you for 8 damn years, and you can't get out of a simple chokehold?" John says, unamused.
"Oh please. I was just playing along."
Izuku retorts, grabbing Mina's free arm, pulls on it, and jumps over her head, landing behind her, and when she falls over, dizzy from being spun around, Izuku catches her, staring at John.
"You were saying?" Izuku shoots back at John, grinning.
"Looks like I was wrong." John takes another bite out of the sandwich.
"...HEY!!! That's the sandwich I made for my exam! What the hell, old man!"
John looks back, stares Izuku in the eyes, and bites down on the sandwich again.
"Goddamnit!" Izuku yells, picking up a butter knife and throwing it at John. John doesn't even flinch as the butter knife lodges itself to the handle in the drywall.
"You were saying?" John says, still unamused.
"Shit! Whatever... I'll make another one." Izuku gives up.
Mina and Eijirou look at each other.
'I... Want to say I'm impressed, but then, that might be the wrong term to use. Intrigued, no, concerned...? Yeah.. that would be more like it...' Mina mentally tells herself. Eijirou had seen Izuku's intentions. They were almost too pure. Despite being somewhat foul-mouthed and reserved, Izuku was a very friendly guy, if not impossible to despise.
Ever since the hostage incident, Kirishima realized that trusting him would be a good idea. So, while seeing him analyze the layout of the map, Eijirou pats Izuku on the back. Izuku looks up and smiles.
"Well, I'm gonna get ready for the morning. See you soon, you two." Eijirou explains while turning around and walking through the door.
Mina, now alone with Izuku took the chance to get close to Izuku. Even nudging shoulders was enough.
"Soo... Midori. Your quirk isn't an emitter quirk, right?" Mina asks.
"Yeah. Doctors said that it was a completely new branch of quirks.
Apex is a pretty cool name for it, I'd say." Izuku responds, still looking at the map.
"If we keep up the pace like this, we'll pass the test with flying colors!" Izuku says, smiling.

"Alright. Let's wrap up. we have to go grocery shopping today." Izuku says, rolling up the blueprints.

"Alright, Midori. I'll come with you and see if I can grab some candies. Eiji! You wanna come to the shopping center with us?" Mina shouts down the hall, while Izuku slips his shoes on.

"Nah, I'm gonna be cleaning my room for a while! Get me some potato chips, will you?" Eijirou shouts back.

"You got it, Eiji!" Mina retorts, smiling.

"Hey, brat. Mind getting me some ramen? I'm feeling in the mood for something filling. I got accepted into the faculty at UA!" John pokes his head out of the study.

"Oh, that's great! I'll grab some Okinawa Soba noodles, and make the broth. It'll take about 3 hours to finish the dish, so I'll get going now.

(if you were wondering why I put so much detail into the Okinawa Soba, I love Okinawa Soba. I think it's because I was raised there. See, my mom is Japanese, and my Dad is American. He was in the Navy, so he got stationed at Naha base. My grandparents live there right now, and I'm going to visit them next summer. Also, Okinawa Soba is my absolute fucking favorite.)
