"Shit..." Izuku mumbled as he got out of the shower, seeing the time.

"11:21, huh... I'd better get to bed soon, otherwise, I'm probably gonna sleep through tomorrow..." He concludes as he slips into his room, grabbing his night clothes.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Hey, Midori? Can I come in?" a voice says, from outside.

"Give me a second... I'm putting my shirt on." He replies.

Mina flashed red for a second, thinking about him without his shirt. Then she swatted those thoughts away and hid her blush as he opened his door.

"What's up, Mina?" Izuku sleepily asks, rubbing his eyes.

"Can we talk, inside your room, please? it's pretty important..." She queries, touching her fingers together.

"Umm... Sure... Come on in." Izuku invites her in, shutting the door behind him. once he was about 5 feet away, Mina secretly locked the door, shutting him and her in the room.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Izuku asks, rubbing his eyes again.

"Two things, actually. 1, why were you quiet yesterday? It scared both of us..."

Izuku scratched the back of his head.

"well, it's pretty personal, and I don't want to waste your time with-"

Mina cuts him off with a finger to his lips.

"I told you, you would tell me EVERYTHING."

"O-ok..."

"Well, John isn't really my real dad..." Izuku mumbles, barely above a whisper. Just enough for Mina to hear.

"What?!" She almost shouts.

Izuku motioned for her to quiet down frantically.

"SHHH! John's room was right next to ours, and knowing him, he would probably put a bullet through the wall to shut us up." He pulls her down to the ground and waits about 5 seconds.

*POP!*

A gunshot rings out, piercing the wall from one side and going through the other.

"Is this sort of thing... normal... for you...?" Mina asks, shocked.

"Yeah. The risk of one of us actually being shot is super low since he always uses rubber rounds, although they still put holes in the drywall..."

"well, as I was saying... John isn't my real dad... My original family name was... 'Midoriya.' I never really wanted to think about how I lost my real mom, but there was an explosion and it ended up crushing her under some debris, and I had to be dragged out by a hero, and I spent 8 years in an orphanage until I was ten. Then John came along and adopted me, and trained me, and built me up, turning me into the person I am today. I can't remember that much about my mom anymore because I was too afraid to imagine her face again, and what she told me before she was gone..."

Izuku looks up, and flinches, seeing mina tearing up.

"Um... sorry?"

She tackles him, crying.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that!" She says through sobs and sniffles.

Izuku smiles a little and rests his arms on her back, patting it lightly.

"It's fine... I'm okay, because I have you guys around to support me, and I couldn't feel any safer with you all... Now, what was reason number two?" Izuku asks, trying to cheer her up.
