Part 5

Marinette pov

" Marinette wake up! You're gonna be late." I hear my mom call to me from downstairs.

I opened my eyes and yawned, hoping i wasn't super late as i checked the time.

I groan.

why can't i ever wake up early instead.

" morning tikki "I said to my kwami who was also just now waking up.

" good morning marinette"I hear her respond back to me.

As I quickly got dressed I made sure I had all of my school stuff that i needed.

Before I left my room I signaled to tikki to get inside of my purse so no one would see her.

I ran downstairs and devoured a croissant for breakfast.

I kissed my parents goodbye and snuck cookies into my purse for tikki just before leaving for school.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket to check the time, i saw that school had started minutes ago so I started running.

I got to the school entrance, which didn't take long because I live right next to the school. I stopped running when I got to the stairs to avoid tripping, which i have done many times before.

I stopped at the first sight of my class room.

Through the window I saw Ms Bustier, my classmates- my friends, and Adrien. I smiled at the thought of all of them. Even Chloe- yes i know she can be mean and causes half of the akumas, but deep down I know she can be a good person.

"Marinette" I hear a voice behind me say.

I jumped - I thought I was alone.

I turned around to see alya or rather the akumatized version of her- lady wifi.

" Wha- ALya ?" What made her get akumatized ?

" Im not alya " she said with a smile that made me feel uneasy. Damn you Hawkmoth

Before I could say or do anything else, lady wifi used her powers through her phone and in one swipe it hit me causing my body to freeze. I couldn't move, i couldn't speak all I could do was think.

lady wifi had paused me.

She laughed, "its almost too easy. "

She walked over to me, put her hand up to my eyes and said " can't let you see where i'm taking you- not that it would matter. " and with that she closed my eyelids over my eyes.

Great just great now i can't see.

I was very confused- what made alya akumatized again and why would she want me ?

(time skip)

I could tell we were moving, I just couldn't tell where and I couldn't tell how much time had passed since. It was all because of her power- because i was frozen or paused im starting to lose my scenes- its harder to hear what's going on around me.

The longer her power is over me the more it affects me- at least that's my hypothesis.

We suddenly came to a stop. I was aware we did and was ready to do whatever I could to save alya, to deakumatize her.

But what I didn't know was that alya wasn't the one who needed saving.

I could hear talking but because I was frozen from lady wifi's power, it was hard to make out what was being said.

Then all of a sudden I lost my balance and fell backwards onto my butt .

lady wifi had canceled her power over me .

I opened my eyes to find my hands tied together

 I looked up and saw a large room with a big round purple window that had a butterfly shaped design. I saw a lady wifi and another person not to far from her. The other person was wearing a purple suit with a silver mask that covered his whole head except his eyes and mouth area.

I knew exactly who this person was- Hawkmoth.

" H...hawkmoth ? " I said in disbelief. What does he want with me as marinette?

"Hello.... ladybug"
