Kidnapped by Hawkmoth ( miraculous ladybug)

Part 10

I wonder how long I've been here.

I know its been less than a week but stuck in one place with nothing to do. I'm losing sense of time. 

I hate this. I have no idea whats going on out there. 

I haven't seen hawkmoth since the day i came here.

The only interaction I've had was with an accomplice of his. She would come bring me food and water and then leave. Every time she comes i try talking to her,  but she acts like a walking statue. She wears a simple mask that covers half her nose and up. I don't even know what color her hair is- big help in trying to identify her. 

I didn't even think people could be with hawkmoth like who would work in cahoots with him. Or maybe its against her will ? 

She leaves the tray of food each time then exchanges the trays the next time she brings me food. I've thought of using the tray as a weapon but i don't know if she has the key to the chains holding me. I'm assuming hawkmoth hasn't been wherever we are in days since i haven't seen him. Or maybe hes trying to wait me out, this being part of his strategy- give me almost no human contact and make me lose my mind doing nothing so i'll give up the earrings. 

But that would never happen. I'm stronger then he thinks i am. 

His accomplice comes again with another  food tray. 

She walks over to me and exchanges the trays that sat a few feet from me 

" Who are you ?" i ask

She again acts like a walking statue and doesn't acknowledge my question. 

" Do you work for hawkmoth  ?"

No answer 

" Where are we ? "

No answer 

" Why are you doing this ?"

But no answer

I gave up asking questions as she left the room.

(Time skip) 

I had finished eating the food on the tray and was coming up with some sort of plan. 

I hear the elevator thing - where they come from and without a moment to spear i grab the fork on the tray and hid it in the sleeve of my blazer. 

I look up to see hawkmoth emerge and I get up from where I was sitting. 

" Miss Dupain-Cheng " he says

" Hawkmoth" I say with disgust 

" Give me your miraculous "

"No " I say sternly. 

"Think about  it this way... If you gave me your miraculous, i would no longer need to akumatize people. So in reality you'd be saving Paris. You would go back to living your life as a teenage girl not having to worry about being the hero." 

The offer sounded tempting and he saw I was thinking about it. 

" You would get to live a normal life not having to worry about all the responsibilitys that come with being a hero. No more lying to your loved ones,  no more pressure, no more dangering yourself against villains.  I even would stop being the villain in all of this. "

I though about his speech and instead of letting myself imagine what that'd be like.

 I focused on key words; 

Villain 

Loved ones

Responsibilitys 

I suddenly grew confidence, I didn't know I had. " Why, what made you become a villain in all this. Why are playing with people's emotions and turning them evil- it screws them up you know. You must have a family or at least friends here so why put them in danger. Why would you put Parisians in danger ?"

"This is all for them " He growled

He took a deep breath in and out

" You don't understand," He said calmly.

" So explain I have time because YOU kidnapped me. And deprived me of my education since ."

He took a moment before speaking.

" Combining the Ladybug and Cat miraculous gives you absolute power. So much power that any wish you have, no matter how drastic can be made into reality."

" Yes but it comes with a price- the universe has to maintain balance."

" I know and I'm prepared to pay that price. "

I hesitated to ask but knew I had to.

" What's your wish ?"

" My wife is in a coma, the doctors say she has no chance of her waking up. We have a son, this is all for him, for her. "

"And what would she think if she found out what you've been doing ? What of your son ? "

" You know nothing. You're just a kid."

" A kid who has been saving Paris for months now against you and your akumas, a kid who has been kidnapped by you. Would you really sacrifice the life of an innocent person ?"

" Yes" he said without hesitation.

" I see" I said, looking down regaining my confidence. " Your offer sounded tempting but I'm afraid I can't give you my miraculous." I said looking him in the eyes.

He narrowed his eyes " I will get that miraculous. One way or another. "

Sorry for the late update

I've had a lot of stuff for my class these past weeks and being the procrastinator i am, it was stressful.

I've been trying to write more frequently but I've also been having writers block --fun

Since my classes are ending soon i'll be able to write more so hopefully more chapters will be coming soon.
