{MIRA'S POV}
Laxus and I stay behind Levy and Gajeel the entire way up to Fairy Hills. Once we reach the dorms, I watch Levy in sympathy for a second as she struggles to prop up her door. I recall this morning, when Laxus and I woke up to Erza yelling.

Laxus immediately leapt to defend me and when I opened the door, going out first much to his distress, I found the hallway drenched, full of water logged books that drained from Levy's room when Erza let all the water out.

The floor is still a little soggy on our way to my room. Unlike Levy, I'm actually able to lock and dead bolt the door behind us.

Behind me, Laxus is growling. I turn around, and he's sweating buckets. It looks like he's in pain.

"Laxus!" I quickly run over, and catch him right before he falls on his face. "What's wrong?"

"My power is going out of control." He mutters.

"Is it because it's increased so much?" I ask. He nods, and his jaw muscles clench. Slowly, I lead Laxus over to my bed and help him sit down.

I put my forehead against his. "You've got a fever. I have some medicine—" I start to get up, but a large hand clamps around mine and pulls me back.

"Stay." Laxus demands.

I blush a little. We lean closer and closer, and I close my eyes... and a knock on the door scares the bejeezus out of me.

"Mira-nee?" It's Lisanna! "What's going on? Why's the door dead bolted?" Is she back from her job already? But she doesn't know about the mating season! I back up with a start, but Laxus growls and pulls me back.

"L-L-Lisanna!" I shout smoothly. "You're back! Um, you can't come in right now!"

"Why?" Great. How am I supposed to explain this situation to my sister? And what is Laxus doing? I turn bright red. Laxus is not helping.

There's a pause outside. "Do I here growling? Mira-nee, why do I hear growling?"

"U-Uh, you're imagining it?"

"Mira-nee," Lisanna's voice is stern. "I've told you before, no more bringing home stray demon dogs as pets! Remember last time? I know Cerberus was cute, but he almost destroyed—"

"Kya!" I squeal, a little preoccupied to be listening to my sister lecture me. Again.

"Can't you stay with Elfman and Evergreen tonight?" I manage to get out.

"Sure, but I want that thing gone in the morning." Lisanna commands. The squishing of footsteps and a distant, "Ugh, why's the hallway wet? Another botched cleaning day? You think they'd learn."

Laxus arches an eyebrow at me. "Are you gonna get rid of me now?"

I laugh and tackle him, so I'm sitting on top of him. "You aren't going anywhere. It's time for punishment for all the things you did to me while my sister was right outside the door."

And then, the fun began.
