Fourth, they will mark you.

{LUCY'S POV}
I drag Natsu to my apartment. We're outside, and I'm about to open the door when Natsu grabs me.

"This way's faster." He growls.

I gasp as I go weightless. Natsu tosses me over his shoulder and jumps one story, grabbing onto my bedroom window. He skillfully opens it and hops inside, and only then does he place me down safely on solid ground.

I blush a little, trying to decide what to look at as I stand awkwardly in my bedroom with Natsu. He's letting off this intense aura. I risk a glance at him, only to find Natsu staring at me. My blush deepens, and I focus on the floor. Yes, the floor is good.

"I can't wait Lucy." Natsu growls.

"For what?" I ask stupidly. "Oh, right." I feel like facepalming. I turn to look at Natsu again, only to find his face inches from mine.

I jerk back in surprise. And end up stumbling. Natsu jumps forward to catch me, but he only has the opposite effect when he slams into me, causing us to fall faster.

I close my eyes and wait for the impact, but it never happens. Natsu used his arms and legs to shield me, so now we're all wrapped up in each other on the floor of my bedroom. And here I thought my blush couldn't get any deeper.

"U-Uh, Natsu, can you back up a little?" I manage, pushing at his chest.

"Why?" Natsu looks hurt. "Do you not want to be my mate?"

My eyes widen. "No! I do! Of course I do! You're just... really close."

The dense idiot doesn't get it. He tilts in confusion, and leans closer so he's breathing on my neck. "But I have to be close to mark you?"

"Then hurry up and do it already!" I yelp. Can he not feel what position we're in?! If I wasn't afraid he'd see it as rejection, I'd Lucy Kick him!

Now Natsu pulls back. Looking at his face, he's struggling for self control. Through gritted teeth, he manages, "If you don't want to be my mate, I can't force you.

I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down. "Idiot, did I ever say that?"

"No." His breathing is heavy, his body a hot weight pressing on me.

I press my forehead against his. "I've been waiting for this, for you to return my feelings, for a lot longer than this mating season."

"Really?" He leans closer, grinning his toothy grin.

"Yes, you dense idiot!" I laugh.

"So you have no complaints?" He asks, staring down at me, arms pinning me to the ground.

I pretend to think about it for a second. Natsu growls impatiently, so I swallow and shake my head. "Nope. The floor is good."

Lucy: "I've been waiting for this."
