It was starting to get dark and we knew we had to make it back to the road before the last bus left for the day, otherwise, we wouldn't be able to get home. We quickly packed up our stuff and headed through the forest towards the road. Aurora was out the front with Zander, chatting up a storm.

'Seriously?' I heaved out a sigh, rolling my eyes,

I tend to do that a lot lately. I should stop before they roll out of my head.

"You don't like them together?" I heard Alex say from behind me,

I turned my head around to look at his confused face.

"I just think it's weird for my brother and my best friend to have the hots for each other" I explained,

"Makes things awkward and uncomfortable".

He just looked at me funny and continued walking with his head down,

"What?" I asked.

He stopped and looked at me dead in the eyes,

"Are you sure it is awkward and uncomfortable?" he questioned me.

"What do you mean?",

"You have told yourself to not like it but you never give them a chance. I understand that it is awkward and uncomfortable, but if Zander marries her, she will be your sister".

He waited for my reply but it never came. He made me feel guilty, realising my ignorance to this situation.

I continued to walk towards the road. As we made it out of the forest, the rest of the group ahead of us, I stopped. This made Alex look at me.

"You're smart, you know that?" I told him seriously,

"It sucks that you don't have a sibling to give this advice to".

He only nodded at this statement, continuing to stare at me.

"Maybe I could give my advice to you?" he smiled slightly,

I looked at him and smiled shyly,

"I'd like that".

We caught up with the group who were already standing at the bus stop. 5 minutes later the bus came and we all crammed on. Luckily it was the last bus and not many people were on it. Aurora and Zander sat together (of course) two seats from the back, while Nala, Vera, James and Louis filled the rest of the back seats. Leaving only the back corner seat available for us two. I squeezed in first, soon followed by Alex.

I looked over at him, hoping to strike up a conversation, only to be met by his chocolate brown eyes already looking at me. I smiled, earning a smile back from him.

"Tell me about yourself" I suggested,

Alex looked out the window for a second before returning his gaze back to me.

"Not much to say" he shrugged,

"I don't believe that. You have to dig deep! Let's start by telling me your favourite colour".

"Green" he answered,

I looked at him in disbelief and then turned to stare out the window.

"What?" he chuckled,

"Green? How could you like such a terrible colour like green? I mean it's beautiful within nature but not on anything else. Gross" I pretended to shiver from the 'disturbing' thought.

This sent Alex into fits of laughter,

"Do you not like me because I like green?".

"Yes" I answered plainly,

"Wow! Overdramatic much?" he laughed.

I feigned a shocked expression as I hit his arm, creating a mini-war between us. I got along with Alex like a house on fire. He was a real catch, inside and out.

"I love your accent" I complimented after we finished slapping each other.

He grinned and thanked me,

"I'm Italian" he stated.

"Did you live in Italy?" I asked,

"All my life. I only live in America not too long" he answered.

"Do you miss Italy?",

"Yes. Very much" he smiled sadly.

He has no siblings to talk about this to. He might not want to tell his parents because it will make them feel guilty for moving him here. I smiled back and looked him in the eyes,

"You know you can talk about this with me, anytime. I mean it. Anytime".

And I did.

As we arrived back in town it was already 9 o'clock at night. It may seem a little late, like past curfew or something, but we all felt as if the night couldn't end here.

"How about we go to a club?" suggested James,

"James, we're not 21 yet" Vera told him.

"My Uncle owns a club in town. He could get us in, easy" James shrugged, like it was no big deal.

We all looked at each other and shrugged as well. Why not? Aren't I meant to be doing reckless things at this age?

After we all agreed to go, we started to make our way there. It was only a 10-minute walk from where we were. As we neared the club I saw some guys hanging out in the little alley next to it. Not suspicious at all... Nala being Nala had to wave at them as we headed to the door. The guys only smiled at her as they talked amongst themselves. I watched as one guy said something, causing them all to laugh. Before I could focus on what was happening I felt Alex's hands on my waist, pushing me towards the door.

"Don't look" he warned,

I only nodded and continued after Vera, into the club.
