You flung your bag on the floor, overjoyed to finally be able to rest in the comfort of your own home. Despite the school being so close to home you were barely able to stay awake on your walk back. At one point you thought you were about to faint again. Your whole body melted as soon as you hit the bed. Your aching muscles finally being put to rest. All you needed was a nice long nap. You didn't care if you woke up in the middle of the night. What really mattered was getting a couple more hours into your already fucked up sleep schedule.

And that's exactly what you did.

////////////////////////////////////////////

By the time you woke up the whole room was pitch black. You grabbed your phone from beside your bed, the bright light illuminating the whole room. Your eyes immediately shut in an attempt to shield the ridiculously bright light. The phone displayed a series of texts from Maori. Adrenaline immediately rushed through your body as you realized you probably haven't answered your aunt for the past few hours. The texts read:

Bubba                                                       6:32pm                                                                                                                  I just got a call from the school and they said you passed out in the middle of class !! are you ok ?? do you need me to come home ??

Missed Call From Bubba (3)          6:32pm

Bubba                                                      7:09pm
hello???

Bubba                                                      7:14pm
I swear to god (y/n) if you're just sleeping I'll kill you for worrying me this much.

Bubba                                                      7:47pm
Whatever. Turns out I have to take over the night shift tonight. Make sure you get yourself something to eat. Don't do anything stupid. I'll see you in the morning ok hun? Text me.

You looked at the top of the screen and saw that it was already 12:13. You haven't answered Maori in over six hours. You entered your password and went straight to Imessage to reassure her you weren't dead. A low grumble in your stomach reminded you of your starved state. After all, all you ate today was a bowl of rice. You hauled your weight off the bed and changed into some sweats and a tank. You sauntered into the kitchen, realizing that the money Maori left you remained on the counter.

The 7/11 should be open right now...

You snatched the money and keys from the counter as you walked out the door, ready to go on your midnight expedition. The 7/11 was a fairly short walk from your house but you were still wary of the creeps that came out this late. The lamposts were the only lights that illuminated the neighborhood roads. The dimness would only allow you to see the mere silhouette of another person a couple meters away from you. You found pleasure in these late night walks, though. The subtle midnight breeze never failed to calm your nerves.  It was so refreshing to finally be completely alone and hidden from everyone. It was rare that you ran into anyone at this hour anyways.

The 7/11 came into view as you jaywalked the deserted streets. You could clearly see the inside of the store and around it from where you were. You were more than happy to not see any junkies lingering around the shop like zombies. The people you ran into were always either passed out drunk or on some type of hard drug. It was crazy how different the people out at night were. The doorbell above the door jingled as you entered the store, your eyes squinted as they tried to adjust to the sudden burst of light. You strolled down the isles, scanning the wide selection of junk food and snacks until something caught your eye. In your peripheral you spotted a tuft of blonde hair poking out from one of the isles.

No way that could be him

You rushed to the isle you thought your classmate was in. You lingered near the end of it, careful not to give yourself away. There Bakugo was, standing in front of the refrigerated drinks. He looked awfully focused on them. He eyed the two drinks he held in front of him not even blinking. You contemplated on going up to him until you realized the onigiris were in the same spot. He would notice you regardless.

"I think (f/drink) would be better." You said pointing to his right hand, attempting to start a convo with the stubborn kid. "Ohh its a two for one too!"

You reached towards the same drink he had. His face remained blank and uninterested. It was better than the usual scowl he always seemed to wore. He was probably just too tired to yell at you to fuck off. You weren't planning to give up though. He seemed like a cool guy behind all the anger.

"Let's both get it, kay?" You offered with a smile.

"What are you doing here, Devil-girl." He scoffed, his eyes trailing up to the bandages around your head.

"What does it look like," you said reaching for the (f/flavour) onigiri, "shopping."

He didn't seem satisfied by your answer so you continued.

"I took a power nap as soon as I got home. I just woke up but I was starving so I just decided to come here to grab something to snack on. I could ask you the same thing. What brings you out here so late?"

"You did a shit job at guarding the bomb." He mocked you as he walked towards the register, completely dismissing your question.

"You could barely handle Midoriya!" You retorted, stumbling after him. "You spent the whole fight chasing after him like some petty kid!"

You placed your items with Bakugo's, allowing him to get his drink free. He didn't even deserve it. He simply snatched it and stormed out of the store, mumbling profanities under his breath. He tried to stay away from you, not bothering to finish the conversation. He was visibly angry now, fists clenched and face scrunched as he trotted off.

"It wasn't even my fault we lost!" You yelled after him from the door. "Your fucking explosion blew up the whole ground and knocked me unconscious. The hell was I supposed to do?"

He spun around to face you, his grip on the drink got tighter every passing second, you could tell both him and the drink were about to explode.

"LIKE HELL IF I CARE. THAT WAS ALL SHITTY DEKU'S FAULT. " He spat out.

Mini explosions erupted from his palms causing the drink to burst in his hands, pieces of plastic and liquid flying in all directions. He seemed completely unfazed by what he had just done. You watched as the mixture of blood and drink mixed as it trailed down his arm. He just stood there, head down, heaving and glowering at you. A tired sigh escaped your mouth as you walked past the troubled boy, throwing your drink over your shoulder to which he surprisingly caught without turning around.

"Try not to explode this one, kay? I know it wasn't your fault. Keep your head up, get over it and try to get some sleep dummy."

You proceeded to make your way back home feeling bitter about the lost drink. There was nothing you could do or say to calm him down. You were surprised yet relieved to be met with silence as apposed to another agitated comment. All you wanted to do was eat and go back to bed. As soon as you entered your home you went straight for the bed, throwing the plastic bag and keys beside it. You took a bite into the well-deserved onigiri, bits of rice crumbling onto your bedsheets. However, you too were busy reflecting on your little fiasco with Bakugo to care. You felt bad leaving things off at a bad note. So you pulled your phone from your sweats to send a text before going back to sleep.

YOU 1:01am

I hope you realize you now owe me. I was actually looking forward to that drink.
