I DREW A LIL SUMM SUMM FOR THIS CHAPTER^^
(f/b)-favourite band

You ended up staying home from school the next day. Mina spammed you with texts asking why you weren't at there and if you were ok. She even said Bakugo asked about you which was odd considering his character. Either way you felt happy knowing that she cared enough to ask where you were. You explained that you weren't feeling well and would probably be back in a day or two and to fill you in on whatever you missed.

Maori was called into work again from 12pm to 12am. You weren't surprised due to the numerous part time jobs she worked. Because of this she's usually away from home most of the time. Realizing she wouldn't be there to monitor you she made sure to lecture you on the consequences of leaving the house. You, being the disobedient kid you were, decided to completely disregard her warnings and meet up with Bakugo anyways. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Surely it wouldn't take more than an hour.

You finally changed out of your disheveled uniform from yesterday and tossed in the laundry. Making use of your alone time, you opened your phone to (music app) and blasted your playlist of (f/b) songs. You bounced over to your closet to the rhythm of the music. Trailing a hand against the neatly hung clothes, you picked up a simple (f/c) tank. You would normally just throw on hoodie to mask your injuries but you wouldn't be able to activate your wings with such little space.

You fished through the heap of clothes laid out on your chair and picked up a pair of black cargo pants. You put them on and made your way to your washroom, the music slowly fading away behind you. You grabbed the roll of bandages off the cabinet and tore the blood encrusted one's off your arm. Multiple long, deep scratches ran across the majority of your right arm including the back of your hand. A layer of crust closed the wounds but re-bandaging them was still necessary to prevent them from reopening. You cleaned the wounds and bounded them with a clean dressing, tossing the old bandages in the trash. You reached for your brush and began working with the matted, tangled mess your (h/c) hair was in, exiting out of the washroom while doing so.

You ran around your room throwing random items in your bag before leaving, making sure to bring the $50 in case you managed to lose a second time. You snatched your phone from it's charger and plugged in your earbuds, ceasing the stream of music. You rushed down the hallway to the entrance of your house. While tying your shoes you glanced at the clock hung in front of you. If you stalled any longer you'd have to waste your energy running there just to make it on time.

You jogged down the streets of your neighborhood, occasionally checking your phone to make sure you were heading the right way. The vibrant colours and crisp air of the outdoors felt refreshing as opposed to the emptiness of your room. All sounds around you were blocked out by the music blasting through your earbuds. The up-beat melody tied in with the gentle winds on your face eased your mind and hyped you up for the upcoming battle of today.

You neared the destined park and began scanning the area for Bakugo. A light smile formed on your face when you spotted a familiar tuft of ash blond hair a couple strides away. He was crouched down in the grass beside the park's rusted playscape just staring off in the distance. Your eyes trailed down to his outfit which consisted of a simple black tee and even simpler baggy black sweatpants. This was the first time you ever saw him out of his uniform. You envisioned his style to be this carefree but he looked cute nonetheless.

"Hey Bakugo!" You call out, your tail swishing side to side in excitement.

He turned his head towards you and stood up looking slightly irritated at your arrival.

"You're late." He blankly stated.

Your brows knitted as you took out your phone to check the time. The screen lit up and displayed that it was already 6:20. Bakugo really waited 20 minutes for you to come? He must really want the money.

"Hahah... sorry bout that." You nervously chuckled. "Thanks for waiting for me though!"

"Where were you today?" he grumbled, walking to the forest trail with you trailing beside him.

"I thought Mina told you, I wasn't feeling too well."

"Whatever. Are you ready to lose for a second time?" He sneered, stopping at the entrance of the trail. "The only rule is to stay on the path until you reach the clearing. It's a ten minute walk from here, but it'll take a lot shorter if you can catch up to me."

"Yeah yeah." You said in a dry tone, tossing your bag down beside a tree.

"DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN ON ME YOU SCUM."

"I'm only looking forward." You said, forcing your wings out with a grunt. You could already feel the blood rolling down your back. "Let's hurry up and do this."

After a quick countdown you both flew off the ground at the same time. The mere force of your lift off caused a massive gust of wind to blow away everything behind you. Your wings cut through the air as you tried to maintain a levelled speed with him. Any farther behind and you would be blown away by his explosions. Judging from the last race you most likely wouldn't be able to win by just using your wings. That's where your plan came in. You held your uninjured hand in front of you and released a wall of fire in front of him, careful not to burn any of the trees. He immediately halted and propelled himself back, stunned by the sudden attack. Not wasting any time you scooped the air below you and flew over your own attack. This was your chance to get some space ahead of him.

"YOU NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT USING OUR QUIRKS ON EACH OTHER. NO RULES!"

"You fucking idiot, ILL KILL YOU YOU FUCKING DEMON. DIE!" Bakugou roared, his voice booming throughout the forest. His voice was louder than the explosions themselves.

Bakugo was nearing you. Fast. You expected you wouldn't be able hold him off for more than a couple of seconds. You threw your arms behind you and let out an immense amount of fire, similar to how Bakugo does with his explosions. The power of the flames boosted you forward, making you fly double the speed you normally would. The heat from the flames began melting the bandages off your arms, exposing your wounds. A sharp stinging sensation filled your arm as the fire began burning the scratches on your arm. Your heart raced faster than ever as the sound of his incessant yelling grew closer to you. You could see the entrance to the clearing he was talking about nearing as well. You took a quick glance behind you and noticed Bakugo was right above your tail, looking down at you with a taunting smirk. He had swiftly blasted himself above you as to avoid your flames. Fear overtook you as you saw him lowering a hand towards you, blasting you forward with great force. You landed in the clearing, tumbling ahead a couple meters before stopping. You forced your upper body up and looked behind you, watching Bakugo just now explode himself in.

Does that mean?... You realized, a proud smile forming through the pain of the fall.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" Bakugo cursed, confirming your win.

He plopped down beside you on the grass, lowering his head in utter anger and defeat.
