The week before jisung's arrival

Monday

The vocal class was surprisingly filled with students for the first time since the opening day.
An announcement was made for the vocal students to gather in their practical class to receive some information about an important upcoming programme.

Seo Eungkwan entered the class with a box.

"You don't have to say good morning"

"No one was going to but okay" said minghao

"Is this about that karaoke battle thing omg I'm so excited" said donghyuck

"What's up with the box though?" asked yangyang

"Please keep quiet you lil shits"
"Come pick up one of these lots, go pair up with the name you got, and don't take a lot if you already got a partner- basic common sense, and everyone will have partner since we have even number of students here"

"NO EXCHANGING PARTNERS, for teaming up with your friends"
"quick quick"

Students started picking the lots one by one, whines of disapproval and cheers and high fives of happiness emerged within the class.

San picked wooyoungs name. The purple haired boy wrapped his arms around the taller. San cupped his face gently and left a small peck on the lips of the Male having his hands around his waist.

"Pls get a room" shouted byeongkwan from the corner of the room.

On the other side of all of the commotion and joy was an overly excited Hyunjin, clearly panicking about the name he picked.

"Hyung omg omg omg what do I do"
Hyunjin slowly slid open the piece of paper for his friend seungmin to see and it read:

Great- thought seungmin.

"Okay so I guess everyone got their partners" Eunkwang said after giving them a few minutes to pick.
"So you'll have to submit an assignment on the history of music"

"And..." all the students asked in unison.

"Submit it on this Thursday, be creative. Okay that's it disperse"

"Important they said"
"Programmme they said" Jacob completed Kevin's meme.

Everyone left the class with dissapointed faces. Minho was standing where he was, still not knowing who his partner was. The person he picked already had a partner which meant that somebody else picked his name before he picked one of the small papers.
He politely asked the classmates passing by his side if he was their partner.
"Uh hello is there anyone without a partner, I don't have one" he raised his voice so that the few of them leaving the class could hear him at once.

Hyunjin's heart started pacing faster, he fixed his eyes on the floor and raised his hand
"I'm y-" hyunjin said in a voice so low that his own ears could barely analyse what he said if it wasn't for his brain that already knew.

He cleared his throat lightly.
"I got your name"

Minho's head flipped to the direction of the voice, he knew the voice.
"Alright hyunjin I guess we'll be doing this assignment together"
Minho smiled as he took steps to bring himself few feets in front of the boy.

"I guess" hyunjin said, dragging the 'guess', not looking minho in the face.
"You know my name?" Hyunjin thanked himself for not stuttering.

Minho smiled at the way the boy was trying to hide how shy he was.
"Mm hm~" minho sang.
