Someone’s knocking on the door, it’s Talia’s brother Ben. He’s nice, and a pretty good looking boy. “Hey girls, do you want lift to the party?” he asks and takes out the keys from his pocket, he’s in college and needed a car to get there everyday, so his parents bought one for him last year, and payed for drive lessons. “Yeah why not?” Sophia says and finish her winged eyeliner, “Good, we’re leaving in five’’ he says with a smile before leaving. Talia burst out in laugh when he’s gone, “What’s so funny?” I ask her with a smile on my lips “Nothing, he’s just so overprotective… Like the party is 5 minutes away, and he wants to drive us there” she says laughing.
We take our bags and go to the car, it’s a pretty fancy car, a black mercedes which looks so expensive and clean, it smells like a brand new car, he must care really much about his car. He drive us to the front door of the house where the party is, and disappear down the road. A lot of the people here are already drunk and it’s only 9 pm. The music is playing so loud I can’t hear my own thoughts, but maybe that isn’t a bad thing, I mean my brain is screaming and telling me to go back home. I block the thoughts for a moment and walk inside the house, it’s a really big house, and there’s at least 300 people in here. A disgusting smell of alcohol and many different perfume scents are hitting my nose, god these people are going all in, huh?
A guy dressed in a white shirt and black pants are looking at us while talking to two other boys, but I can’t see who it is since their back is facing me. Talia waves at them, and walks past the crowd of drunk people to get to them. It must be Brandon who throws the party, and the other guys his squad. I’m still standing at the front door, unsure if I’m gonna go to them or not, I mean I don’t know they’re just not my cup of tea. “Hey Ava!” a familiar boy voice says which makes me turn around, it’s Ethan. “OMG hey!” I say happy, god this boy just saved me. Ethan has been one of my best friends since kindergarden, and we’re always having a good time together so it’s good to see him here, then at least I’m not alone. He gives me a big hug “I didn’t expected to see you here” he says pretty surprised “Nor did I” a little laugh escape my mouth. “I mean you’re normally not that party type, but it’s nice to see you” he says while running his fingers through his brown curly hair. He always gives me one of those warm and lovely smiles which I love, his just like a brother to me and i love him.
“Let’s go find our friends” he says and take my hand to make sure I follow him. A tall boy with a bright white smile is standing right in front of me, looking at me with is dark blue eyes. That boy… We normally don’t talk that much with other cliques but since Talia and Sophia got friends with Brandon and his squad, I guess i can’t do anything against it. “Ava meet, Brandon, Draven, Oliver and Tristan” Talia introduces them, so his name is Draven… “Here take a drink, you look like someone who needs it” Brandon says and handle me a drink, I don’t drink that much but if I wanna survive this night I have to.
I take a sip of the drink, it taste like some kind of berry with a sweet sugar kind of taste added to it, I kinda like it. The party’s get more and more fun for every drink i take, and i somehow ends up talking alone with the boy at the bar. “So, what is a girl like you doing here at this party?” he says and take a seat besides me, “a girl like me is out with her friends having a good time” I say and take another sip of my drink. “Well if so, what are you doing here alone with me, while your friends is out there somewhere?” he says with a little smile on his face. “Well… I was with my friends, until you interrupted us... and yeah here you are talking to me” he just laughs a little for himself from my comment, while taking a sip from his cup. “It’s cute how you’re trying to hide your feelings for me Ava” he says and looks at me with a smirk on his face.
“Feelings? for you?” I spits out my drink in laugh, does he really thinks I like him, huh? well maybe… or maybe not. “Good joke dude” his face expression turns into a more serious one, “it wasn’t a joke… You like me” “and why should I like you, I mean I don’t even know you” I give him a confused look. “Well as you wants… Do you dance, or don’t you know me good enough to do that either?” he asks while stretching out his hand waiting for me to take it.
