PROLOGUE
It was a bright summers evening. My mom was cooking & my dad was watching tv. My mom & dad sat us down & began to tell us about how they struggling to support us here. My brother, Jason, & I immediately looked at each other. They continued to say that Canada has much better job opportunities than here.
I can't leave Michigan. I was born here. My friends are here. My family is here. My life is here. Now they just decided that they battling? I'm not leaving this place. They can't make me.
My brother & I decided to go for a walk around the area. We always go for walks when bad things happen just to vent to each other. We got tired of our normal route so we just made random turns here & there.
After 10 minutes of walking we found an abounded one story house. It had white (well it was white) walls with cracks. Jason & I are curious about everything. We always want to know everything but anything. It's a really bad habit. We tend to ask the wrong questions at the wrong times & walk into the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Let's explore!" Jason jumped at the site of the haunted looking building. Before I could reply he was making his way through the house.
"Tori..." Jason's worrying voice called across the cold blizzard that only appeared in this room.
"What?" I made my way through the dusty room & dodged the wood sticks leaning across the room.
"There's a door in the floor." Jason replied, fidgeting with the knob on the "door". I grabbed the knob with him & we pulled together. When it finally opened there were little red lights pointed towards us. We probably shouldn't enter but whatever, we grabbed the ladder hooked to the door & worked our way down. Coughing madly from all the dust, I jumped down & fell to the ground.
If only I knew that those little red lights, were eyes.
