Chapter 5 - Confusion

I was really upset about Friday but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now. But I'm still really angry about it. He took my first kiss, was absolutely horrible about it and he's a demon. He knows I'm a new-born so why would he kiss me if he knew that a kiss could end up with one of us dead?

"Tori!" Emily cried as she sprinted into my room and jumped on the bed and laid next to me.

" Em, I promise. I'm fine. I'm just going to act like I don't care and soon I won't have to act. " I looked down trying not to think about my life and how I'm always below everyone else and how boys are with me.. they come to me for my looks ( I don't even know why) and then when I reject them, they insult my personality. Am I a horrible person? Am I 'too' innocent? The day a boy falls in love with my personality will be a good day for everyone.

"Well, Aydan said we should go to them for lunch. It's about 11:30 now so get ready." She shot off my bed and walked towards my cupboard. I don't want to see Chase.

"Umm.. No thanks? I don't want to see Chase. " I sat up and rolled my eyes at her suggestion of going to Aydans house.

"Come on, Tori. It will be fun. Aydan will keep you company. And obviously me, of course." She painted a puppy dog look all over her face and faintly smiled.

"Fine." I got up & walked over to her. I pulled out my plain black tights and a hoodie (an oversized hoodie.)

"If you going to make me go, I'm going to wear what I want." I crossed my arms and pouted like a child.

"Tori, your sleeve is like 10 times longer than your arm." She laughed and pulled my sleeves.

"Let's go." I laughed and pulled her down the stairs. We jumped into my car and drove to Aydans house.

"Aydan just makes me fall harder and harder every time we talk. I hate it. And I don't even think he likes me. I think if anything, he probably likes you." She looked out the window with complete disappointment in her eyes. She's crazy. Aydan would never like me.

" Em, there's no way he'd choose me over you. You are my inspiration." I gave her a ' you're being ridiculous' smile and she laughed at it.

"Come on." She unbuckled her seat belt and jumped out the car. We walked inside and saw Aydan talking to Chase and some girls sitting on the couch. I've met them before and we all got along really well but I can only remember three of them.

"TORI!" The three girls ( Anastasia , Jenna and Abby) ran up to me and overloaded me with questions.

"Do you know how many vampire girls have wanted Chase? Even though we not allowed to associate with demons, nobody really cares. But Tori. You are so lucky. " Anastasia jumped. Anastasia talks a lot and has the kindest heart and funniest personality.

"Anastasia! Calm down. I don't even remember it. I was drunk." I started off laughing but faded into a daydream.

"What? Chase kissed you whilst you were drunk? We've all been drunk around him and he has never kissed any of us?" Jenna quizzed. Jenna's more on the serious side of life. She looks at things literally rather than figuratively but she still knows how to party and take a joke.

"Maybe he has. You just don't remember." I played with the end of my sleeves and slowly looked up at Chase who was staring right back at me.

"First kiss?" Abby frowned & held my hand. Abby's comforting and you always know that whenever you're down she'll be there to make you smile.

"Yeah but it's not that. It's just the way he handled it. But I'm not going to get all deep now. Especially when he's right there." I gestured my head towards Aydan and Chase. There were other guys sitting outside but I've never met them before, but they were all smoking and looked like trouble makers so I'm not sure if I want to.
