Chapter 6

"Well you look drained." Emily stood at the door behind me. Her hair tied into a messy bun.

"Chase just apologized to me but then started crying, I don't know why. & he never made eye contact with me. Like isn't that the one thing you're suppose to do when you apologize?" I turned around & squinted. I don't know why this irritated me so much ..

"Aydan said he has been in a bad place lately but he doesn't know why either." She walked over to me & sat down next to me.

" yeah, he told me that it's 'a story for another day.' Whatever that means." I started tugging at the frosty grass. I hate being alone & I've been feeling alone a lot lately. I don't know why but I hate it.

"It's getting cold. Let's go inside." She grabbed my hand & pulled me up. When we got inside, Abby was in the kitchen with a whole bunch of mugs before her.

"Tori, do you want hot chocolate?" Abby offered & smiled.

"No! Let Tori make it. She makes THE BEST hot chocolate." Emily skipped over to the kitchen. My aunt taught me how to make hot chocolate when I was five. Then she showed me her little secret with making hot chocolate. I know what you're thinking, "hot chocolate ?" Yes, hot chocolate.

"Go for it, Tori." Anna laughed. We have no school for a week due to teachers training so at least I've got a break.

"Sure." I laughed at their excitement & placed the mugs in a straight line. I boiled the kettle & sat on the table opposite Emily.

"So any boys in your lives?" Emily swung her legs back & forth & looked in Abby, Jenna's & Anna's direction.

"Abby & Anna have boyfriends but me on the other hand, I've been single since 1998 " Jenna chuckled & sat on the kitchen chair. I'm actually really surprised. Jenna's so pretty & if you can't see that, her eyes will help you. They a glowing green & dig into your soul every time you look into them.

"Same, don't worry." A giggled escaped. I tucked my hair behind my ear & walked over to the ringing kettle & began making the hot chocolate.

"They coming over now. " Abby blushed. Abby seems like the type that just sucks of her boyfriends face to be honest. But not because of her personality, but because of her looks.

"Are they also vampires?" I raised my eyebrows & smirked at the thought of vampire couple.

"Vampires are hot." Anna smirked back signaling that they are vampires.

"Here you go." I handed out the mugs of hot chocolate.

"& us?" Aydan frowned & walked over to us , Chase behind him.

"Patience. Here." I handed them their mugs & sat next to Emily on the floor.

"Em you were right." Anna snorted with her giggle.

"This is good hot chocolate." Chase took the spoon out of his mug & dump it in the sink. I forgot to take it out.

"Sorry." I grinned & watched him walk to the couch. Whatever happened in that story must've been bad.. You can see every now & then he drifts off & his face goes completely emotionless. But then there times where he looks like the happiest person on earth & you wish you could be in his presence all the time. I don't know what to think of him.

"Don't worry." he laughed at my apology & sat down. Soon everybody settled into their own conversation & Abby & Anna's boyfriends arrived. & just like in movies, the boys were playing games on the play station & the girls were in their laps. It did make me feel out of place & as if I shouldn't be here but I at least have Emily.
