renjun and jaemin were hard at work on their 1000 piece puzzle, only to have a clueless jeno ruin it with one fatal step.

it was like any other night in the dreamies' dorms; with jisung playing games with chenle over the phone and renjun and jaemin finding something new to pass the time. usually jeno would be with the two or with the chensung duo gaming, but the said male was out late for additional dance practices that night.
deciding on completing a puzzle, renjun and jaemin poured out the contents of the puzzle box they purchased not too long ago.
upon laying their eyes on the mass of tiny puzzle pieces arranged in a pile on the floor, they silently regretted their life choices in that moment.
"it'll be a waste if we don't do it am i right?" jaemin reasoned, getting comfortable on the floor, preparing himself for the few hours ahead of them.
"you're right." renjun sighed heavily, but readied himself as well.
before actually starting the piece, the chinese male went to put on some music to drown out jisung's and chenle's loud yelling from next door.
"alright, let's get this bread." renjun said whilst cracking his knuckles.
after an excruciatingly long four hours of trying to piece everything together, frustrated groans, and many threats of giving up right then and there, the two were finally on the final pieces of the puzzle.
both of them moved like drones in a trance, just picking up a piece then attempting to find a place for it. they were so focused, they didn't even notice their boyfriend entering the room.
"guys—!" that was what jeno said, before he stepped onto their puzzle that they worked so hard on.
silence resonated throughout the room, the only sound being the low volumed music playing in the background.
renjun and jaemin stared at the foot that laid smack dab in the center of their puzzle, and watched it slowly rise up, taking a big chunk of puzzle pieces along with it.
renjun's eyes twitched as he saw the pieces fall back onto the ground.
that was when jeno knew full well: he fucked up big time.
"i'm so sor—"
"i wILL STEP ON YOU." renjun screeched, standing himself up at the speed of lightning, ready to pounce on the taller male.
the two began their full on cat and mouse chase while jaemin still sat on the floor, contemplating his life choices.
"should i help jeno out?" jaemin asked himself, in the midst of jeno crying out for his life while renjun was casting some satanic shit on him. "nah, he's in good hands."
and so, the night went on with jaemin trying to fix the puzzle while having his boyfriends' screeches in the background.
