Like No Other (Arthur x Reader)

While the rest of the residents of the mansion were sleeping, here you were in your bed unable to fall back asleep due to a dream you had. What had happened in your dream reminded you an awful lot about what had happened on your first night here. That was the night when you found out that you were living in a mansion full of vampires. However, this dream was different. It was a nightmare about Arthur falling in love with another woman and then sucking her blood without stopping. He literally turned her into a human raisin. After he finished her off he came after you and before he got to you you woke up.

It felt so real. I know it wasn't but it still scared me.

You've had feelings for Arthur for a while now and the idea of him doing something like that and falling in love with another woman made you incredibly upset. Laying in bed was not going to help you so instead you got up and decided to go take a walk through the mansion.

When you looked outside the window you saw a full moon in the sky. It was beautiful so you couldn't help but stop and continue to be mesmerized by it. You finally pulled your eyes away and you decided to go to the kitchen and get some coffee and maybe something sweet as well.

The coffee was brewing and you had found some fudge in a cabinet that you were currently munching on right now. Then the coffee had finally finished brewing and you prepared it in a cup like usual. Once you finished putting the hot liquid into the cup, you picked it up off the counter only to meet the face of Arthur standing right behind you. All of a sudden, that's when the n̶i̶g̶h̶t̶m̶a̶r̶e̶ dream you had came flashing back into your mind.

You gasped in fear and dropped your cup but before it even fell 3 inches from your hands Arthur quickly caught it without a single drop falling out.

"YN are you okay? Did I scare you?" He seemed genuinely concerned which made you feel a little better about being around him.

"Hah... yeah... yeah I'm okay..." You quietly breathed out.

Arthur put the cup of coffee back into your hands slowly and gently while making sure you had a proper grip on the cup before letting it go.

"Ah, why are you here Arthur? And why are you up so late for?" You asked out of curiosity but to also try and keep you mind off of what you saw in your dream.

"I was writing until I eventually got tired of it and came down here to get some coffee and fudge... but by the looks of it it seems as though you already beat me to my 'secret' stash in the kitchen." Arthur explained.

"Oh, these were yours? I'm sorry I didn't know. Do you want them back?" You wondered as you now felt bad about eating his fudge.

"It's okay if you're the one who did it." He showed you that same smile you're familiar with. "And you can have some if you want. Actually since we're both up, would you like to have this together in my room?"

The question caught you off guard and you nearly spit out the coffee you had just taken a sip of.

"Are you serious about that offer?" You interrogated trying to find out his true intentions by searching his eyes.

"Yes. However you don't have to accept my offer. I just asked because it seems as though neither of us will be going to sleep anytime soon." Arthur said taking a quick look at the coffee cup in your hands.

"Mn, okay I guess I'll have these with you." You finally agreed.

"Perfect."

After Arthur got his own cup of coffee, you accompanied him up to his room where he tried to write some more.
